I caught a clip of Neville discussing how he dropped every single school friend immediately after he signed his first pro contract. He's never spoken to any of them since that day.

Cut to a shot of an incredulous Roy Keane before Carragher to all intents and purposes calls Neville a for doing such a thing to his mates.
Wow, what a tool. It's probably why he has such an inflated opinion of himself now.

Royal out would be better news wink
Not with Pedro still out, he's our only option
I'd rather blood Dragusin in there or even Clogberg than Cheese.
Yes the new boy maybe, but can't imagine PEH plodding up the right wing. At least Royal has a bit of pace

After the wolves match I'm lactose intolerant.

FFS Richy now, just when he was starting to fire. Despite what some might say, he has 9 in the last 10 which is up with best

So Son up the middle today? We could do with Son hitting a good streak like he tends to do between now and the end of the season. He’s always been streaky so it’s going to be difficult to figure out when his powers are really starting to diminish. And then I don’t think you can underestimate the Son conundrum, he’s probably the most valuable player in the league.

I feel strangely confident today, missing our top striker but I'm guessing a nervy confident 3-1 or maybe a draw or we could fk it up.

Who knows...

I watched Palace last week, Glassner instantly had them playing a bit more, which will probably suit us over a low block. I feel confident too Mickk, but I still think it’ll be a test. Sounds like they have Eze back too which is always a threat, excellent player, probably could have cost the same as we paid for Johnson too.

Son is such a positive influence on the whole club, they need to ensure he sees out his career here. I'm sure that Levy has done the cost analysis....

Easy first game for Glasner, home to Burnley. Hopefully today will be a rude awakening for him. As said, they'll probably try and play a bit more than under Woy. 3-1 with Madders amongst the goals and Werner off the mark.

I had my money on 3-1 as well so a good afternoon in the end.

I also put a few quid on us scoring 5 or more as I thought it was about time we ripped a team up.

We were lacking for much of the game though - something still not right.

The something not right is our forwards. I know it might seem churlish as BJ's doggedness led to Werner getting on the score sheet but we need better. Werner missing an absolute sitter ealier will happen more often than not and BJ is an impact sun at best.

Still 3-1 is a decent score but we've got to go big in summer for better wingers.

It was 60-70 minutes of the Wolves game all over again, unable to break down a well organised team. Then 10 minutes of actually overpowering the opposition and looking threatening, and 10 minutes where Palace gave up.

Great to meet you again today 48k.

Agree with the analysis, first half was turgid and slow. It feels like we haven’t got over the lull that was the middle of the season when half the team were crocked. We have most players back now and we still look a little flat, just missing that zip.

We do miss Porro though, watching Emerson try and understand how to be an inverted full back was amusing, he didn’t have a clue where he should be or what he was doing.

Alas had we not got the 3 points today it would have been bad news with the other results. We do need to convincingly beat someone now though, we didn’t scrape by in the end today, but it was far from a good performance.

Thought Werner did well, full of running and great deliveries. I think I prefer Son through the middle

Another penalty not given?

Odd headline on the BBC website just now. Sold-out Emirates for Arsenal women v Tottenham women on BBC2

Did they only have 30k tickets for sale or are they all still in the queue for the toilets?

That's because they count all ST holders as attending, same as the men's games, rather than the actual turnstile count like we do. I always remember a Europa league group game a couple of seasons ago where there can't have been more than 25 or 30k there, the whole of the top tier was empty and the attendance was given as 59k, even the pundits were taking the p*ss. Embarrassing really

I have always wondered if that is seen as fraud to the taxman. I suppose the season tickets are already bought and paid for but it seems fishy. They have been doing this for years.
