Yes injuries and the fact we have Hill who isn't a spring chicken either, would like to see some younger players come in.
Dunne tends to put the ball in his own net far too often for my liking too.
We need creativity and as Adel is off to Marseille, then I don't know where that's going to come from, Faurlin?

Dunne is done.
Agree re lack of creativity. But then if we have a couple of injuries we won't have any strikers left so maybe it doesn't matter.

Let the season commence Still, AJ was on great form, Hoillett looked in shape and (grudgingly) Barton looked to have had a good game.
MOM was Chris Kirkland, he was brilliant and kept them in the game, although quite agree Wednesday had their chances, you just have to find the net and fortunately they didn't, coupled with a partially sighted ref!
Defoe in and Remy to Newcastle on loan for the season sounds promising, would be happy with that, just think we need a little more muscle in defence.

Thought we were unlucky not to get a draw
we'll try and return the favour when you come to ours....
if the striker hadn't made such a meal of the Barton challenge then it may have been. I think strikers help the ref make up their mind by be so dramatic and making a foul look like a dive!we'll try and return the favour when you come to ours....
Kirkland was MOM though with half a dozed great saves; could have been a cricket score. SW are a big bunch aren't they.

were MASSIVE dont you know.....
we'll never have the money to play our way out of the championship so we though we'd adopt the stoke route with a bit of football thrown in for good measure....
That new CF looked pretty handy. Kept bursting through the line and looking very dangerous.we'll never have the money to play our way out of the championship so we though we'd adopt the stoke route with a bit of football thrown in for good measure....
Any one go yesterday?
3 points in the bag, and imo it shoudl have been more then 1 nil!
Zamora is woeful and should have been subbed alot earlier on then what he was.
Genuinly thought we were a better side when Gary O'neil came on, found him to be very creative.

Agree with you - surprised how creative and sharp O'Neil was.
Hope Hoilett's hamstring isn't too serious as he's looked much sharper this season.

So that's 10 from 12 points - great start!
I hope Joey B decides to stay - with a couple more quality signings next week and Cesar & Mmbia to ship out at the same time, the prospects for the season are very promising.
Now I've said that, watch Swindon beat us in the Capital Cup this week!!!

Happy days (so far).
Was delighted to get two texts when I landed at Stanstead yesterday with the HT and then the FT scores.
Great to get so many wins in early and three clean sheets.
Let's see if HR can't bring in a little more fire power today.
I'm seeing Adebayors name being banded around, not sure I rate him.Was delighted to get two texts when I landed at Stanstead yesterday with the HT and then the FT scores.

Need a centre back and a striker for sure, maybe Crouch and Austin would be a good pair as Johnson is just too injury prone.
Carroll from Spuds in midfield, I'm sure Harry will pull a few surprises out the bag!
that extra striker is definately needed as Zamora is a spent force. was woeful y'day and the shape of the team improved dramatically as a 451 when he was replaced.
very scrappy win and we road our luck at times, but whilst we haven't found any great form we are churning out 1-0 wins every week until the formation is sorted and the newbies settle in. Brighton will be tricky midweek, hopefully they are knackered after Reading today.
