This is all conjecture based on how you think though. You may or may not be accurate. We don't actually know. All people have therefore really said is "I bet it goes on because of the money involved and the Authorities are crap".
Yes, so what? We don't know that it doesn't happen and we don't know that it does either. So you can hold your own view on the likelihood based on your experience of the world and things that we do know. It's valid to say "There's no proof so I don't think it happens", just as it's valid to say, "It's inevitable that there's doping, why is no one ever caught?" This isn't the Crown Court, so we're all free to apply whatever burden of proof we like and hold our own views.
I don’t think there’s any doubt that blood doping (transfusions/EPO) would be massively effective in improving footballers’ performance… it would enable higher levels of sprinting/endurance during a game and faster recovery. It would also be very hard to catch as there are no passports and testing isn’t frequent enough.
If a team were able to do this systematically they’d have a significant advantage.
It could be done, but the chances of keeping something like that quiet are slim IMO… players would need regular micro injections for EPO, and it’s not like 15 players sitting there for 20 mins getting a blood transfusion a couple of time a week would be inconspicuous.
I’m not sure what widespread benefits there would be to something like steroid use early in a career - U17/U19. Steroids might help smaller kids gain some muscle, but football isn’t like American football, where sheer size/weight is important.

"So what?" you asked. Well I was just saying it seems the kind of discussion with no conclusion. No evidence to prove or disprove, and the only reason it came up was because someone brought up the asthma inhalers thing again. It's valid to say "There's no proof so I don't think it happens", just as it's valid to say, "It's inevitable that there's doping, why is no one ever caught?" Harvey Elliott has penned a new 5 year contract.
Club clearly sees a lot of potential in the lad - Lijnders recently stated he has Iniesta-type qualities and thinks like a creative midfielder. I must admit I am yet to see it but if he blossoms in the same way Foden has done at City when gently introduced, then he'll be a great investment.

It's difficult to read anything but an October return dat AT THE EARLIEST.

Not happening, so there we are. No new signings this window, so...grouse away but it won't change anything. They clearly have their ideas of how to cope. At least it can't be anything as bad as putting Hendo and Fab in central defence... You would hope...

Maybe we'll see TAA in midfield soon....
Makes about as much sense as putting Hendo and Fab in central defence… oh wait, we already did that when we lost all our central defenders… and look how that worked out. Keita will do his usual and get injured in the next few games and then our MF will be totally fked. Chances of seriously challenging done inside the first month.

So you are going to write off our entire season after 1 game and 1 injury ?

Do me a favour and go look what the word “support” means.

Keita gets injured (which he seems to do with some regularity)… we’re then down to Fab, Hendo and Milner who can’t play 90 mins let alone 2 games a week, and Jones/Elliot/Carvalho. So you are going to write off our entire season after 1 game and 1 injury ?
You reckon that mid field challenges for a league?
