I have asked a perfectly reasonable football question of someone in this thread, in a polite manner. Everything was fine until YOU stuck your size ten Manc boots in and called me pathetic - at which point you get told to keep your nose out of a conversation that doesn't involve you.

I don't see the problem really - unless of course you are wanting to make a situation out of nothing at all?
You asked a question, he chose to ignore you, you asked again and again, in your little attempt to bully and annoy him as you do being the big man of the thread

I think I'll just leave this thread as you are all mental. shame it was being a sensible thread for a while

ANDY Carroll will play for Liverpool against Newcastle this weekend in the hope it will trigger memories of his former behaviour.

Carroll will conceal his confusion beneath a confused expression
Since his move to Liverpool, the semi-tame £35M ponytail-stand has struggled to remember what he used to do on Saturdays in between getting out of bed and getting incredibly drunk.

Anfield staff have had to shoo him away from the ticket booths and burger stalls, where he was caught trying to put on an apron, as Carroll continues his confused search for meaning.

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish said: “Every Friday night for the first three months we would find him near the Pier Head, making a keening noise for the Toon.

“Nevertheless, we’re hoping that in 90 minutes he can regrasp the rudiments of a sport he’s been playing since he was a foal and reduce my looking the tt by enough of a margin to explain the whole Jordan Henderson confusion.”

Carroll will be transported to the Two Tracksuits For £10 stadium in Newcastle in a soundproofed box to stop him breaking free and galloping amongst his herd along the Tyne Quayside demanding tits be outed for unspecified lads.

Dalglish is hoping that the sight of several goals inevitably sailing into Liverpool's net will awaken some primal urge in Carroll to make his £8M-worth of leg do what it used to as a matter of instinct.

Assistant manager Steve Clarke said: “We used to rub the goal net with a piece of Dirk Kuyt’s bedding to entice him, so I’m sure it’ll work with Andy so long as there’s no scent of skank in the crosswind to confuse him.”

This was my favourite line, inspired

Interesting article indeed, quite amusingly the comments reflect this thread quite well

i.e a few dissenters, some still love KK but are very disappointed with the signings and think they should be shifted on and some just think its a time thing

we have no strategy and we have no shape. weve been cring out for a right midfielder/winger for years so we buy henderson (center mid),adam (center mid) as well as having spearing, shelvey, gerrard, lucas and aquilani?
why do we need loads of people who are naturally central and play them in wide areas? instead of buying natural width?
i hate united with a passion but their advantage over the rest, including us,is not in central midfield but the wide areas. giggs, evra, fabio, rafael, park, nani, valencia all give great width from midfiela and full back areas but we seem to rely on enrique and johnson when fit. i am deeply concerned about the club and who makes the decisions!
who sacks rafa then appoints roy hadgson? who gives dalglish 3 years when hes been out so long? whats damian comolli doing?
the higher powers at the club are making the wrong calls time after time!
On this point especially I would agree, football isnt the most difficult game in the world to play, we have always had pace on the wings, if you can keep posession and consitently bang balls into the box from the wings, you will eventually get something

You would think if someone had approached it logically they would have thought, Hmmm Andy Carroll, big lad, causes trouble in the box, good with his head, lets get a couple of wingers to feed him, it appears they did think this as they bought Downing, but thought Henderson could be a right winger maybe?

Well done to all those who proudly said Barcelona rolleyes they do have wingers, they just don't use them, this may be that they are a freakishly good team the likes of which I don't think any of us will see again, they dont NEED to use wing play as much as they can pretty much pass through every team they meet.

For the non superhuman teams (read everyone but Barca) if you have the Stokes of this world who park the bus, or indeed a very organised team (see Blackburn last night) the best chance you often have is too hit them on the wings

See Tottenhams success before they crumbled and our continued success over the years

But eh what do Harry and SAF know its not as if they are performing much better than the great Liverpool is it

There are plenty of teams who play narrow, it's better to watch and it is effective. Swansea have already been mentioned. Arsenal have started to introduce a little bit more width but predominantly they are narrow. City are very narrow and they have had a great season. Someone called Johnson a winger earlier - I don't think they have been paying attention else they'd notice that he continually cuts inside and rarely stretches the width of play.

Stoke wouldn't stand a chance against Barca. I can only conclude that you don't watch much La Liga. I do, and believe me plenty of teams have set up a team bus bur Barca find a way through. I would argue that being able to play narrow quick passing football is actually MORE effective against the likes of stoke as trying to lump crosses and long balls in just plays to their strengths..
Im not sure if you didnt read what I wrote or are being deliberatley obtuse

Where did I say Barca wouldnt demolish stoke? What I said was for teams who are NOT Barca, Stoke and their ilk can be frustrating and this is where wing play can help

On this and other threads we have had Woy, Gollum, bacon face, Harry Houdini, etc. why is "relic" now a bad thing? You may take it was an insult, or merely as the direct definition.

An object from an earlier time, often of historical or sentimental interest. From Raja's viewpoint, it describes it perfectly.
He's not asking about other threads? What's that got to do with it?

You can call him whatever you want on other threads, just not in here please as most fans find it offensive.

Find me calling anyone bacon face or Gollum? Also if other fans have asked him to stop calling him Relic, how can you say it's not offensive?
Maybe not you persay but members of this thread regularly refer to other managers in a derogatory manner, whether these are offensive words or not it happens, it has to be one rule for all threads not just because you lot are feeling precious about your manager at the moment

One 'nickname' for him has already been canned by the mods yet my manager is still referred to as Baconface. Just how much preferential treatment does this thread want?
