I hope he fits in well, Amat has impressed me of late-where would he go? and yes steal at 8 mill.
Looking forward to sat!
Amat has played at FB in the past (not for the Swans). I guess he could challenge Rangel who is not getting any younger.Looking forward to sat!
My sources from within say the club think very highly of Amat so they must have a long-term plan for him - he is only 24.

Exeter City fan here..
Take care of Matty Grimes for us. He is a very good player and has been far too talented for Exeter. We always knew he'd go and we wish him well.
Plus the £1.75 million will come in very handy for a small club like us.
Cheers!
Fingers crossed it was great business for both of us - £1.75m (rising to £2m I think) will hopefully set you up for a long and prosperous future.Take care of Matty Grimes for us. He is a very good player and has been far too talented for Exeter. We always knew he'd go and we wish him well.

Have only heard great things about Grimes but won't place too much expectation on him too early - it's a big step up!
I will very disappointed if he leaves now but wish him well as he has played with his heart on his sleeve for us. I would have hoped he would stay for the rest of the season but he was always going to leave eventually and if we can get £30m+ for him it's a no brainer for a club like ours.
Huw Jenkins played a blinder getting him to re-sign a new contract at the beginning of this season - thanks to Bony for that too.
Hopefully Gomis will kick on now and vill the void - a very different kind of striker but certainly has pedigree.
My main concern with Bony leaving is how quickly we can adapt to playing a different style. We have become very reliant on him being the arrow head of the team - a lot goes through him in general play as well as his goals.

Agreed. Hopefully see Jeff back from injury soon, plus Shelvey to return from his ban.
Great to see the lad Barrow getting game time and making a positive difference, plus I am seeing the beginnings of telepathy between Emnes and Gomis - Routs and Dyer seem to be off colour at the moment so might be good to do a swaperoo for a while.
Need to get Tom Carroll signed up IMO too. Has a very bright future.

Anyone else beginning to question our LONG term prospects under Monk and the current coaching staff? I am beginning to think our poor play and general tactical deficiencies are being masked my moments of brilliance from Bony and Siggy over the course of the season.
We looked utterly toothless in attack last night and our build-up play was so slow. Do you think Monk is struggling to get the best out of the players? Are they coasting because we are so close to the hallowed 40 points?
Will Gomis ever score another goal??
On a related topic, I see Shelvey's missus has taken to Twitter to rip into Monk - pretty sure that won't end prettily.

Thanks for the report GM.
Yes, we are finally beginning to see the fruits of our investment in the youth set-up - our previous approach was a complete failure with only Joe Allen and Ben Davies going on to become Premier League players coming through the ranks. We also tended to extend contracts for players who were never going to make it.
Mo Barrow got some game time last season - he came on against Arsenal, did Kieron Gibbs for pace and won a free kick that Sigurdson dispatched to begin our comeback and subsequent victory. He is raw but could be fantastic.
Josh Vickers came from Arsenal with coach Tony Roberts - highly thought of.
As a local boy, I really hope Henry Jones makes it - I think he just might.

700,000 for Botti
200,000 for Fulton
Thanks guys, that's nearly a million on players who struggled to get a start in a first division Scottish team, who will be at best a Scottish premier player.
Our youth recruitment history has been interesting at best...although Fulton has looked assured when he has been asked to step-up. You are clearly a feeder club for us. 200,000 for Fulton

Don't forget Stephen Kingsley - he a better prospect?

They are all decent players, kingsley is the worse of the three id say. But the figures are ridiculous.
They at best would be a good championship player, or squad player in that league, never premiership.
Fortunately we seem to offset our crummy youth purchases by pulling off value transfers elsewhere - Ayew, Gomis, Neil Taylor, Shelvey, Montero, Siggurdson etc etc. They at best would be a good championship player, or squad player in that league, never premiership.

Shame for Monk but the results just weren't coming, and truth be told the team wasn't playing very well either.
I wonder if Huw has a replacement lined up? I hear Brendan is looking for a job...
I would take Rodgers back in a heart-beat - no settling in period, knows the club inside out.I wonder if Huw has a replacement lined up? I hear Brendan is looking for a job...

Strong rumours on Gus Poyet (please no!) and Dennis Bergkamp (please yes!).
