The Official Arsenal Thread (Volume2)

On the plus side at least Arsenal nearly scored an amazing goal with the Henry flick and RVP volley... Let's try to look at the positives.
Nearly scoring a decent goal. That would be the positive from the game.
I think Klitschko should have started at left back with song in the middle. Then the OX probably would have been on the wing from the start.
The average age of the starting team today was very close to the Milan one so youth is no longer really an excuse Wenger can keep using

There is no probably about it, he should be starting every game. As soon as he came on he was making runs and chasing everything, doing 10x as much as the rest of the midfield did in the whole fking game.At least we played with great spirit and can blame the pitch though...

Having had time to digest and consider...
1st goal - Big Chez fked up and sliced his clearance.
2nd goal - about 10 miles offside.
3rd goal - Verm slipped on the pitch that was relaid 2 days before hand.
4th goal - Never a penalty.
And Abbiati should never have saved Van Persie's volley.
So technically we should have won 1-0.
I'm going to write to Uefa!

+1,000,000. He can fk off, this is the worst squad we have ever had.
Erm.....check out the mid early 80's team. Now that's the worst team Arsenal have had in my life time. Awful, awful performannce last night. Hard to know where to start.....
I can't remember the last time Wenger so obviously changed the style of play in desperation.
Frankly the worst thing that can happen to Arsenal right now is that we somehow manage to fluke 4th spot and the staus quo is maintained.
Long term we'd be better off missing CL qualification and there's a proper re-assessment of how the club is run. Personally I don't think Wenger is the problem....the problem is that everyone that runs the football club is too much in awe of "what he's achieved" with better management and structure around him he's still the right person.

Let's face it the way this season has gone it didn't come to that much of a surprise to me.
Is it just this season? I dont mean results or trophies, but is it unfair to suggest that whilst MCFC and to a lesser degree THFC have stepped up the past 3 seasons, AFC have not? Have Arsenal lost that Aura they once had? The fear factor?Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
