Brilliant match at Prenton park today, had everything - every emotion, wish Anfield was like this again.
Not brilliant for everyone, DSL... ![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)

Yer sorry I forgot its a league thread not a team thread still you must be a little happy that you had a great 35 minutes and a reasonable 40 minutes - good stuff to come
Fair play to Tranmere, they are top for a reason and you saw that reason today. To cap it all, they did it without influential midfielder Andy Robinson and striker Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro, both of which have scored seven goals this season.I'm pleased we did well for forty minutes but our suicidal defending and vulnerability to crosses and set pieces has to be sorted and soon otherwise it will be a long winter.
I was a bit worried at 2-0 down but thankfully the lads have the belief they will win every game.
On another note (living in Swindon) it's nice to see the Swindon fans starting to loose faith in the manager. One of my mates, who is a season ticket holder, says his attitude is that he is bigger then the club and he loves the media too much.
Thoughts other town fans?

Bottom of the league Sat morning and bottom Sat afternoon. Played Crawley and we gave them a game particularly in the second half. They then scored in injury time to win it with a fluke goal. Cross come shot. Didn't deserve that ![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)
Ouch. I thought Bury's luck might change with the new manager.![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)

We need to change our own luck. He is getting them fitter and up for it. We don't have enough quality so we have to do it through hard work. Hopefully some loans on the way soon. Your boys have made a good start to the season though. He has been a legend for us over the last few years, but is getting on a bit and is even more of a liability
. The new manager Blackwell hasn't played him so either he thinks he is past it or maybe has been a bit disruptive we don't know. Certainly in a fight he would have always been your first choice even if he is bit of a loose cannon.Staying on the pitch was always a bit of a challenge for Efe. He is great, though this feels like his last season.

Guess he must be about 56 now, I suppose... ![wink](/inc/images/wink.gif)

Loved him when he was at Yeovil. Scored twice on the day we won the League 2 title and I've got the pleasure of interviewing him some time this season for a book I'm writing. Love the guy even though he is one of the most dismissed players ever (thirteen and counting, I believe!).
Looking forward to seeing him on Saturday. Going to try to get his autograph for myself, er, my boys.

I couldn't make the Bury game as I was in Ireland at a Christening however my brother was keeping me updated by text. 2-0 up and all seemed fine, Tranmere were losing, Swindon were losing was turning out to be a very good weekend for Crawley.Bury got it level and Crawley (not for the first time this season) sneak one in in injury time.![frown](/inc/images/frown.gif)
Crawley are doing OK but our defence can be ripped apart by a turn of speed. Hate to say it but I think Claude Davis is out of his depth in this league as are one or two others.
As for Tranmere 2 down and come back 2-3, just when is their bubble going to burst?
Crawley played well first half but we were really unlucky second half and that injury time fluke from NA was a killer. Also Carlisle scored a last minute equaliser against us last night. Crazy, still we played a lot better again and the two Leeds boys we have on loan made a difference too by all accounts. Tranmere just keep on winning, they will come off the boil at some point though ;-)
Meanwhile our season stutters onwards and, er, upwards, with a JPT penalty shootout win over Torquay United of League Two. This sets us up with an Area semi final against Wycombe and some of our fans are already looking at the tube map to see the best place to park near Wembley... ![hehe](/inc/images/hehe.gif)
All because we are one of only three teams in the last eight of the Southern section from League 1, the others being Brentford and Leyton Orient. Would be quite nice getting LO in the final which would put the two most successful YTFC managers of all time against each other.
