Joe Hart doesn't seem to have taken it too well either.
'I know what I bring to England'. Well, you certainly brought a lot to the table for Wales & Iceland at the last major tournament.
World class in his own head.
Hart is one of those difficult ones really, his last game for England if I remember was solid and he made some good saves. Not sure if anyone watched West Ham play Everton last game of the season and see Pickford letting shots go through his hands regularly but we need to be really careful about the grass being greener. I read an article where it summed it up really well, where Hart used to know his weaknesses but made his strengths so strong that those weaknesses didn't matter - being dropped and sent packing to some average Italian club, then a season with a team constantly flirting with relegation is always going to knock confidence and in keepers confidence is everything. I genuinely hope Hart goes away, finds a permanent contract, and has a storming season next year.

Given that he struggled to even play for a team battling relegation for much of the season (and probably only avoided it because he was dropped for a lot of it!) and on current form is barely a Championship level keeper, which is where he'll likely be playing next season, as I don't see any PL teams queuing up for his contract.

Am a West Ham fan so saw more of Hart than most. He was inconsistent this season, in some matches he was MoM by some distance, in others you were left wondering what he is doing on the pitch. But to be fair Butland made the team conceding 60+ goals and made plenty of clangers of his own and being all over the place in matches.
I would disagree, he is not championship class, he just needs a permanent contract where he will play week in week out without the media dissecting every match (except the ones where he played well those got ignored funny enough) I really believe if he can drop his wage demands and get a decent club to stick by him in a year or so he will be knocking on the door of England again. And yes, he shouldn't have had a go at Moyes, that was daft. But then again has anyone on this forum ever not said something daft they live to regret right? ;-)
I suspect Pickford is in pole position for England, what I am really hoping is that he doesn't give a gift in the first game that costs us a win because we will be left with a keeper 'debate' before the next match - you don't want to be swapping them around mid tournament.

Any WH fan will tell you the reason for the flirting with relegation was little to do with keepers and more to do with an injury list as long as your arm and a shocking midfield giving totally inadequate cover for the defence. I never understood why West Ham got him in the first place. Adrian has seemed a decent keeper for a number of years and Randolph looked better than Hart when he played last season?I suppose as a West Ham fan you will be better placed to confirm.

One of those two were always going to leave, on the same level and Bilic was swapping them too regularly. Hart was a complete vanity acquisition by Sullivan who makes most of the bad decisions at the club. As soon as the club slipped into relegation scrap players were being swapped out all over the team to try get something right. I suppose as a West Ham fan you will be better placed to confirm.

I just hope Kane isn’t made to take corners like at the Euro’s. Has he ever taken a corner for Spurs?.
No. But I wish he did sometimes because Eriksen's corners have been laughable for the last two seasons.MissChief said:

I feel England is not taking this World Cup seriously - there is no Official Song!
How can they win without an Official Song?
There's been official songs and they haven't won diddly. And Official song's are generally ste How can they win without an Official Song?
Let's have a play on words , "they haven't won diddly and are generally ste" which sort of sums them up . I'd love to be proved wrong but have seen far too many pathetic performances to get excited nowadays .
