Here’s your answer by the way. Correct decision if the handball was:
A) accidental; and
B) not committed by the scoring player.

So who decides if it was accidental? It wasn’t exactly close to his body? The ball once it left his foot was away from goal and going out.

The referee I expect. Like who decides if something is a foul etc etc.

If I were you I would be a bit more worried about my first 11 being this embarrassing.

You’ve got to laugh about that. Could it be any more obvious that it hit his hand? rofl

Shows how wasteful we’ve been that it’s changed the game.

Ok, if you think it didn’t change the game that’s your choice. You might want to review your understanding of football though.

Penalties? Not sure I see us scoring in the next 30 mins the way we saw the last 30 mins out. Which was really disappointing as we were so good in the first half.

Second half he hasn’t been as good, but first 60mins the ones you didn’t watch he was excellent

I missed the first 59 minutes (working), but we’ve been absolutely dreadful since then.
Should have been 5 up by then tbh .You can’t be that wasteful against anyone .

He also hasn’t been coached by anyone vaguely competent for most of his time with you.

VAR would be less of an issue if you weren’t huffing and puffing and only 1-0 up before that.

Yeah it sucks but this is pretty much the full strength Manchester United team at home against Middlesbrough!
If we had our shooting boots on we would be 4 or 5 up. Ronaldo missed a pen, Rashford missed a couple, Bruno missed an open goal.

We have dominated Boro so far

Embarrassing? Far from it. Very wasteful yes.

Completely dominated up until the nervy (very lucky equaliser in anyones eyes)

Agreed, but unless you are gonna score them this is what can happen.

The anomaly seems to be that whilst the decision might have been correct under the current rules it's absolutely obvious that if a defender did that it would be a penalty.

So? It’s the same rules for both teams. We see penalties given for things that aren’t a foul anywhere else all the time.

Plus I bet that if someone could be bothered you would find people in this thread up in arms about goals disallowed under the previous rules too. When it was clearly accidental in the build up and ruled out.

No need as i dont claim to understand it - looking forward to an extra 30 minutes though as it's probably what we need to further gel us as a team.

When Bruno missed the empty goal it was nailed on for a penalties defeat .Far too wasteful .
