I can see why he doesn't blood youngsters at tournaments; very few managers have the guts to do that. But at 3-1 up against a poor Slovenia side, would it really have ruined anything to let Saido Berahino have twenty minutes at the end? Give the lad a real taste of international football, probably would have helped his development a little.

Instead, he throws on Milner (who I'm an admirer of but 99% of the time is a defensive substitution).... it's got to the stage where I can't be bothered to watch England games for ninety minutes any more.

I would suggest ITV are pandering to their larger audience with the mic setup.
