I knew the FA were being harsh with the punishments lately but that is severe!
Why? 3 game red straight red - then an extra game for it being 2nd red of the year - been like that for donkeys....

The FA have now told referees that any player who passes to Andy Carroll should be booked for time wasting.

think glen johnson fancied a 3 game break there. fortunately it was classed as a good tackle as it should have been.

think we got away with it tonight. the tie should be over.

Why, 90 mins from Wembley.

Carrol has been great, Hendo, superb, Carra fantastic, Adam has done a good job in the middle. GJ man of the match. Gerrard getting better, Skrtel and Agger played very well.

Great subs from the bench and tactics that gave us a clean sheet at the Etihad.

Not pretty.

Difficult conditions.

No-one stamped their mark on the game.

But we'd have all taken 1-0 before the game.

Did I say that? I was responding to Glen's banter You can take your idiot name calling somewhere else.

I thought city were there for the taking. I didn't like how we went super defensive and I don't think Dalglish will be in any way judged on his performance in this competition.

To be fair, Shearer does indeed look like a hotel concierge. He must be wearing that jacket for a bet.

Based on that game you'd really describe Carroll as great, Hendo as Superb and Carra fantastic?

At least Downing didn't make your list of star performers. Let's hope we don't rue only a one goal lead at home.

Well. Funny game that. Great first half, deserved lead at half time. Parked the bus second half probably as we knew they would come at us. But... we totally snuffed them out and didn't even give them an opportunity.

We'd have all settled for a draw before the start so to come away with the win is massive. Another great away performance.
