All terms have been agreed. It's just the legal stuff now apparently.

I know the cynical will start scoffing that its cash we can't afford and that he's only here for the money, but if the mooted £1m bonus to keep us up is true, that is a small price in comparison to the potential lost revenue of going down.

I'm not expecting miracles immediately but I feel hopeful now.

Afterall, in the words of the man himself "my initials stand for mick macarthy, not merlin magician!"

I can't wait. A passionate, disciplinarian manager at last.
He is an excellent appointment for you. I'm still a bit annoyed we sacked him tbh.

Thanks. I really can't think of anyone better suited to our needs.

I know a few supporters who didn't like him and they are already warming to him.

I can't wait now. For the first time in several years there is a genuine buzz about the club.

Did anyone else just hear MM on Chris Evans' show?

Chris asked him whether he'd looked into what he'd do around Ipswich on his days off. He replied, "Have y'seen where we are in t'league? Dorn't think I'll have many days off".

hehe

Looks like When we signed mick up, we also get a lot of his contacts.

Wolves have confirmed that their scouts have parted company with the club.

Didn't take him long to get on the phone to his old staff. Good man.

I hope so. I'm now setting off to brum.

I just want to see an improvement and some passion from the players.

Look forward to hearing your thoughts after the match.

Can't say I'm expecting much of a change. Magic Mick hasn't had any time to really do anything with the squad. We shall see.

Just got back from Brum.

What a difference a week makes!

It was like night and day.

Positive, committed, up for it.

MM stood by the pitch all game and barked at them, took notes with TC and generally guided the lads through.

We deserved the win despite a period of pressure towards the end when we looked a bit nervy in the last 10 minutes.

Our defence looked organised, only made a couple of small gaffs and generally looked solid.

A clean sheet! To be honest it should have been 0-2 as Lee Martin had a shot well saved by their keeper.

We are definitely heading in the right direction.

COYB!!!!

Also to add;

Wellens, Reo Coker, N'Daw, Higginbottom looked good.

Campbell, Cressy & Lee Martin ran their arses off.

Murphy worked hard but looked a little out of sorts. For a big guy he didn't win much aerial stuff

Moshni looked busy once he came on. A real handful as he is a big guy.

Henderson made a couple of good saves and his clearances were much better than previously

Chopra didn't get a look in and I reckon he'll be out of the door soon as a disruptive influence.

Time will tell.

But at least we looked like we wanted to win

Regarding the 'master plan'. Nothing changes.
It was never going to become easy overnight and palace are showing their class. To be fair, first half we were in it but the 3(three???!!!!) penalties killed us.

MM summed it up in his post match interview.
