The way I see it is that the market is pretty much efficient and bots will ensure that prices don't move too much away from the predicted course of a vague bend towards 1.00 as T->90'+. So, if you were to back 0-0 every game, you should break even less commission. Now if you backed and exited in the first 5 minutes then providing the market moves downwards, you should make a few ticks every game. However the ebb and flow of the market due to people making bets in-play means that the market could move against you during that time so you might be looking at a loss even if no goal is scored in that time.

You would really need to test this over maybe 100 trades to determine the long term... which means going in small.
