Luis Saurez vs Patrice Evra

Well as it happens I agree that a good proportion of footballers are uneducated (not necessarily stupid), but to say that in this instance would be a little ignorant, given Evra is apparently currently learning his 6th language (thank you Wikipedia!)
Maybe he could make South American Spanish his next project. And in case you want to educate yourself on other events yesterday

I think the lesson there is more about a sense of humor failure...GMP must have been recruiting from the wrong end of the east lancs...

We are extremely disappointed Luis Suarez did not shake hands with Patrice Evra before yesterday's game," said Ayre in a statement. "The player had told us beforehand that he would, but then chose not to do so.
"He was wrong to mislead us and wrong not to offer his hand to Patrice Evra.
"He has not only let himself down, but also Kenny Dalglish, his team-mates and the club. It has been made absolutely clear to Luis Suarez that his behaviour was not acceptable.
"Luis Suarez has now apologised for his actions which was the right thing to do.
Makes a few posters on here look very stupid
Exactly. All those so called Liverpool fans that were blaming the whole thing on Evra must feel pretty stupid now the rug has been pulled from under their feet. "He was wrong to mislead us and wrong not to offer his hand to Patrice Evra.

'll probably be tarred with that brush. I still say it LOOKED LIKE Evra put his hand down deliberately. Let's move on.
If you want to look at it again, his hand went down in between each handshake - he hesitated & it was definitly slow to come up again for Suarez - but it was there if Suarez had wanted to take it.But anyway, its finished now. Suarez has said he deliberately avoided shaking hands with Evra and apologised. The end.
(I must say though ,the standard of his written English is extremely good ! ).
He will most likely be on the market in the summer IMO.

Well if the chap accused of racism had chosen not to shake hands with the person who accused him of racism thats fair enough and appluaded in my book. If it was the other way around well no surprise there really.
Accused? Why did Suarez not play for 8 games, and why?Bing o said:

Accused? Why did Suarez not play for 8 games, and why? They have both behaved like cocks ( fergie and dalgliesh) and had they been real men instead of idiot fergie and dalgliesh should have sorted it out a long time ago. Managers are paid to sort these things out and if they cant controll thier men theg should give up

Accused? Why did Suarez not play for 8 games, and why? That is not the same as a conviction in a court of law, there have been no charges laid.
I still believe that if this case had gone down the same route as John Terry's Suarez would have been acquitted.
That said, nothing will change what has gone before, all parties need to move forward.

We do need to move on. But before we do I'd just like to remind you it wasn't the FA that decided he was guilty, it was an independant panel. The FA only set the punishment. That is not the same as a conviction in a court of law, there have been no charges laid.
