Looks like De Vries is off to Wolves then. A big loss if you ask me - not just his keeping but his ability on the ball helping the way we build from the back.
Despite the windfall looks like we are still not able to offer the financial incentives other clubs are.
He is effectively given up a guaranteed starting spot in our team to sit on the bench at Wolves - can't see him starting over Hennessey.

Yeah don't really understand his thinking with this move (well I do cos it's his wallet doing the thinking)Despite the windfall looks like we are still not able to offer the financial incentives other clubs are.

He is leaving a team that will prob struggle but he will play most/every game and joining a team that will most probably struggle and will spend his time pulling splinters out of his arse as he's on the bench.
Hope this polish keeper is good!
"Wolves are going into a third season in the top division and as I've said to my family, the difference for me is that while Swansea will hope to maintain their Premier League status, Wolves will expect to survive.
He therefore has no faith in the club, best all round for him to move on.

If that's his mentality then I'm glad he'll be sat on the bench at Wolves next season rather than between the sticks at the liberty as he's obviously not up for the fight! He therefore has no faith in the club, best all round for him to move on.
To be honest I'm not sure we would be interested in signing the young Polish keeper for £3m (rumoured) for him to sit on the bench. Maybe Dorus knows this and was happy to take the extra wages and substantial signing on fee to do the same thing at Wolves?!?!
Either way, he's a clog wearing, Edam eating

If it was as black and White as he's making it out to be then we would of paid anything that's owed (we arnt Cardiff city )Have you seen Jenkins response? All seems a bit odd, I'm sure the truth lies somewhere in the middle of it all
As I understand it, the original loan agreement made provision for extra payments to Ipswich if the Swans made the playoffs or were promoted. However the player had long returned to Ipswich by that point due to injury in April. Tricky one.
If the chairmans statement is true it's a bit sthouse of Ipswich to go public in this way as a first move.

According to ssn we have agreed a fee with Newcastle for Routledge, not sure if he will come though as he seems to like a rather large pay packet.......
The never ending Routledge saga. He's agreed terms with half the league if you believe the papers Oh yeah, tell Mr Rodgers to leave Camp alone!
Out of date now but still funny.
Even if it was made and posted by a Cardiff fan....

New keeper signed who looks likely to be a better player than De Vries (who Wolves only bought to reduce our chances of staying up and giving them a better chance of avoiding the drop).

That's a great signing for the Swans - I'm glad they have a decent stopper now. I've bolded the bit above - very machiavellian thoughts, I wonder how close to the truth that is because I did think it was an odd signing for Wolves to make.http://www.swanseacity.net/page/Latest/0,,10354~24...
Listened to the match whilst camping just off Broughton beach (one of the best Gower beaches IMO!!) and was really impressed with the first half. Quite dispondent after the game just because of the score line, but hey, every Man City player bar about four cost more than our entire squad, its our first premier league game and against a team that's playing in the Champions league, not one from Championship.
We wont be the last to be beaten 4-0 this season by a true super-club.
We just need to do keep doing it the Swansea Way and we'll avoid the drop,
