Had a feeling Aberdeen would beat Rangers today so am annoyed that I didn’t follow through with my plan to go to the game. What an amazing turnaround under Barry Robson. If only Celtic had won yesterday, that would have the league done and dusted already.

The delicious prospect of a cordon of honour for the champions at Ibrox. The fixture sequence will be interesting.

It was done and dusted a long time ago. There was never a challenge.

Ever other year the split has the last Celtic v Rangers game early to avoid it being the mathematical end. They are going to need to avoid that this year, but equally it won't go down well turning up to celebrate the league is over.

They'll either be applauding us on as Champions or clapping us off as Champions. Delightful

Didn’t they or the old club refuse to do the Guard of honour already?

Just last year was it not? They are the most childish club around.

Celtic didn’t do it the year before that either. Still childish?

Yeah what a strange season. Should really be struck from the record books or asterisked as clearly even the teams playing didn't recognised the results of that year.

Your probably right, same as titles won via emails to Dundee or ones where they are the only league In europe to stop before Christmas to allow a team a transfer window to strengthen rotate

The Rangers voted to end the league and give out the prize money because they needed it, Lest We Forget.
And of course only one team was allowed to sign players during the transfer window spin

There's a thread on FF started by that "moderate" Mark Dingwall about Celtic overtaking them as Scotland's most successful club in the next few seasons

Shared league with Dumbarton, War Titles, Glasgow Cups, Div 3, 2 & 1 Titles and the Petrofac Cup all put into the kitty while Celtic's asterix years don't count apparently biglaugh

The more "staunch" amongst them are relying on using child abuse point scoring to "strip the titles"
Some of their support truly are "the peppul"

I'm half Scottish, half other multiple things, I love Scotland dearly, have always supported the national football and rugby teams my whole life, travel up to see Ayr United when the circs allow, go to Murrayfield often, and am still thinking I might well retire up there after a life at the IT coal face in the Thames Valley. If there's one thing that puts me off though, considering I'm a big sports fan, it would be having to face the ludicrous Rangers/Celtic cacophony from both sides of that divide being in my face the whole time. It just so dominates the environment that it eclipses all else, and is just really, really tiresome. Well, that's how it looks from down here.

Don't you guys on both sides ever get bored of it? I mean a bit of banter with your local rivals is all great fun, but isn't this all a bit much? Isn't a it just too visceral, doesn't it actually cross a line where it's actually harmful an detrimental to all involved?

Honest question that, as you'd expect from an Honest Man.

Unless you buy the Daily Record or listen to Clyde Super Scoreboard then I don't think your day to day life will be impacted. 'Down south' you get the Sky driven hype machine, coverage up here is much more broad based.

They never get or will get bored of it ,it’s a birthright up here to spout bigotry from either side.

Speaking to a guy last week who was refused entry to a bar because he was wearing one half of the old firm shirt, stated that this was racism….!!!!…rofl

It’s only really intense in the west of Scotland and central belt. Easily avoidable if you want it to be.

In here is just an echo chamber.
