Again after MOD

Told the wife it may be a long time in the future, if the past is anything to go by

I don't think it was a penalty, but it didn't alter the result of the game so it doesn't really matter. I do think that Salah should've been booked for diving though
I thought it was stonewall in real time, then on the replay not sure, one angle shows no contact, another shows a bit. Will have to have another look, "soft" the commentator called it. A baying Anfield crowd might have persuaded the ref to have a longer look, must be the shortest review (when ref called to the screen) in the (short) history of VAR. Excellent pen though, he rolled the last one which nearly gave me a heart attack.

I'm not sure we'd have held on at 1-0 so it did change the game in a way. It was certainly a more comfortable watch at 2-0!

Keene MOM for me with Pickford a close second, but to be honest they were all hero’s to me. COYB

Given recent history I would give it to Pickford, he showed real mental toughness, something I’ve not seen in him before.

I think it was a penalty, Arnold knew what he was doing and raised his right leg and arm as he went through, but one of those that could’ve gone either way. Henderson pulled a hamstring with Doucoure nowhere near him, shows how marginal decisions are. If we can really stop performances like Fulham then we could have a good shot at fourth, but I’d much rather go all out for the cup.

Absolutly superb from the boys last night, a bit of guts and digging in on a tough night. Keane and Pickford had very solid games.

We've not talked about him that much, but Ben Godfrey has been an excellent signing. I'm not sure anyone expected him toplay quite as much as he has, but he's played in every position at the back this season, he's comfortable on the ball, strong and bloody quick!

Mental toughness has been great recently. Coming from 2 down to ger a last minute equaliser against utd, conceeding the early goal against spurs and taking a 3-1 lead, blowing that, retaking the lead, getting pegged back and still finding the winner.

And then losing at home to the likes of Fulham. frown

I think he has been one of the signings of the season, £25m looks a steal. Can anyone think of a better value deal, given his age and ability?

Calmed down now , already said defence superb ,deffo pen, DCL would not have gone down for nothing ,he's not that kind of cheat , Richarlison was unstoppable , I've been a critic in the past ,but that was not the same player as the one against Fulham , it is a big weight off us i think it's 10year or more since we beat them , I'm not going to predict the Southampton game , did think our subs bench had a bit of bite also yesterday .

I think DCL tripped over TAA, it wasn't a dive and not a penalty, just a clash of players.

Godfrey for £25m was excellent business. I'd like to see either Lamptey or Aarrons come in over the summer to take over from Coleman as he doesn't have too many years left in him. Next season could be a passing of the baton between them.

As said Godfrey as exceeded all expectations, great value for his fee. Don’t forget boys Allan was left on the bench also we have Gbamin to come in, if he ever does. If we can lure a top striker decent full back for a seamless change for Sheamus we are well on track to a decent in-depth squad

I was reading a piece about the troubles at Spurs this morning and it struck me just how quickly things can change in football, like a house of cards sometimes.

It got me thinking about Davies and Keane, two players who, if decent offers came in, we could’ve sold in the summer. I’m made up for both of them, but how do you explain their improvement, not just to another level but probably two or three levels?

Davies looked a good prospect a few years ago, but seemed destined to be on the fringes and eventually sold off to an ambitious Championship side. Keane looked completely out of sorts after a decent start to his Everton career, no pace or confidence he seemed to be another expensive mistake. I know Keane was playing through pain with a foot infection for a time, but surely there must be more to it and how do you explain Davies?
As somebody once said, it’s a funny old game.

I think Keane was ok, he had some good games but usually followed them up with a few shocking games. I think he's found more consistancy in his game, and with that he's become more confident.

With Davies I have no idea! He's been really good the last 3 or 4 games, even when results haven't gone our way. He has had a decent run of games in the side since Allan got injured, so may be more game time? And I can imagine that his game has improved being around a better standard of player in training and matches week in week out helps. I can imagine he'll learn more from the likes of James and Allan than he would from Delph (when he was fit enough to train....)
