Scottish cup semis this weekend............
Indeed - Looking forward to live terrestrial TV coverage just like the FA Cup... oh, hang on...
The Falkirk v ICT game is on BBC.

Viaplay have an offer on until Sunday. Pay in advance and get a full year for £59. I have a feeling they are struggling to get subscribers.

With the season running late that should get the cup games next season. The final is on terrestrial TV.

There was talks to get some of the Scotland games on terrestrial TV. I'm not sure what is happening?

I'm totally against it as well. It's harmful for so much of the Scottish football to be on a channel that nobody wants to pay for.

£59 for a year isn't so bad, but £15 per month(non contract fee) is too much for the content.

I do think the cheap up front fee suggests the deal isn't going well. Another Setanta on the way.

While watching the odd cup final live would be nice, I would never pay to watch live Scottish football on TV. In any case I find watching the highlights on Sportscene more than sufficient, with the benefit of the tedious dross filtered out.

How will the game improve if fans aren't willing to pay money for TV subscriptions that help fund the game?

More people are getting dodgy boxes and happy to watch streams, but it does starve the game of money.

Watching the highlights isn't like watching the game live. The other thing that becomes obvious about Sportscene is how often they miss out key parts and incidents in the game. I'm sure they'll start getting different results. biglaugh

My screen has gone black a few times.

VAR made an early appearance today.

I was watching on BBC. I'm trying Viaplay now. It's 10 seconds ahead in coverage and the crowd sounds louder.

The picture quality is also better on Viaplay.

Shambolic broadcasting performance by the BBC today. Really poor sruff for what is meant to be a prestigious sporting event.

Anyway its now ICT's game to throw away. Currently 3 nil to them.

The VAR shout first thing was another joke. Whats the Falkirk boy meant to do? Morphing into Connor Goldson is about the only way he could have escaped it being a penalty.

Useless isn’t it. Every expense spared. Imagine the criticism of this was a FA Cup semi.
ICT out of sight.

The standard of production from the BBC stands out a mile for all football programmes. Live games and Sportscene v MOTD.

Interest in today's game was low. The production efforts matched that. What was the attendance today? 12k?

ICT deservedly won. Falkirk had to score their chance with the open goal. The third goal was a good goal.

The handball was a handball by the standards set this season. They have been consistently given all season with the exception of the 5 or 6 Rangers somehow got away with. England have a better grasp of handball decisions. They aren't so easily given there, but we are similar to decisions given in European football.

Tomorrow's game will be the exact same as before. If Celtic play well they will win. Rangers need Celtic to have an off day and will again be relying on set pieces for goals.

Something tells me the game is going to get a bit out of hand tomorrow.

Horrible forecast today will make that playing surface interesting. Jack will be a miss as Raskin always plays better with him but hopefully Goldson returns. Fortunately I'll be at the game and won't have to endure the broadcast. Yesterday was embarrassing.

Not sure what to say about that. Rangers have been overly physical. Some over the top challenges in there.

Celtic looked on the brink the whole half. Rangers not offered anything going forward.

Barisic should have been sent off. That dive deserved a second yellow. I've no idea how Tillman got away without a foul on the challenge that injured himself.

Rangers switched off for the goal. The same players caught out again. It's always Barasic and Kent. Raskin also guilty this time.

That was a terrible game.

Ref trying to do The Rangers a favour created Celtics goal. Blatant foul, everybody stopped expecting the whistle, except Maeda.

Cheers Ref.

Listening on the wireless, aside from the goal Celtic didn’t need to get up to third gear. Onwards and upwards, likely a treble incoming, maybe a few fresh legs to have a proper go at Europe.
For the other side, a long gloomy summer of regret and recrimination.
The Ibrox game could be very messy - I’m not sure I’d me risking key players if I was Ange.

Robertson gave Rangers everything today. Every time a Rangers player fell it was a foul. Rangers only had 9 fouls and Celtic had 15. It's zero reflection of the game.

Another game where Celtic were poor, but still good enough. The first half they should have killed the game.

Rangers lacked composure at both ends of the park again. GVB didn't survive this and Beale is worse.

Morelos and Kent should be asked to leave now and find new clubs as they bring nothing to rangers.

The ref did not protect the players by letting some very dangerous tackles go.

Beale must now be under pressure and will have to pull some rabbits out of the hat for next season with very little money where Ange has champions league money guaranteed.
