He is our next 'promising' player. However, you can buy his for £5, but his translator will cost you £20,000. A decent future player though, you are right. I heard he was getting some grief from your fans when he started?

Good mate of mine is a Wednesday season ticket holder, rates Barkley going forward but he's still iffy at the back, doesn't tackle and plays the odd suicide ball, hopefully he will improve this part of his game, but maybe he's better off in the Champ for the rest of the season. Funny to hear Jol compare us to Barca juxtaposed with Rodgers comparing Suarez to Messi!!! Never had Messi down as a cheating, diving, racist.

Been told today that we have put an offer on the table for Lewis Holtby, there is interest from several clubs though.

PMed a couple of decent sources regarding Gibson, not got any news unfortunately, except that he has not got a toe injury, and the Trapatonni quotes are from months ago

He has been quoted as saying "Gibson has a Toe injury an not available for selection" (for the Rep O I)

But this was for the August internationals, and not a fresh injury, being reported in some circles.

I'd love us to get Holtby, but think we'll be outbid. The Gibson injury is a mystery, he was supposed to be out for a few weeks, it's the lack of information that gets me thinking it could be serious, certainly hope not as he is sorely missed.

Holtby can sign a pre contract in the Jan window for a PL club, however if i was a betting man i would have money on him signing a new contract at Schalke 04
