Klopp invented pressing? I’ve read some utter bobbins in my time but that’s right up there.

Poch was doing it before Klopp was even here, the view of the saints coaches were that you needed 3 lungs to play in his team. Yet you don’t hear such outlandish statements from them do you?
You do know Klopp was at Dortmund in 2008? Obviously you'll make some lame excuse and look for sone other pressing coach to proceed that now to cover yourself, but Klopp has his own unique way, as they all do. To say that Potch was doing it before klopp though, is as you say "utter bobbins"

You think Klopp is going to say that HE needs a break midway through a season with his team struggling? That's laughable

He will probably say the same at the end of the season - this or next when HE decides to move
Who's said anything about needing a break halfway through a season? Nobody would ever say that. He was talking about how he felt during his last season at Dortmund and how he doesn't feel that way during the same time frame in his LFC tenure. If he needed a break he wouldn't have signed a contract to 2026. The man had already won everything and doesn't need the money.

As I said earlier today, if he gets his signings this Summer but the team has another patchy season with no improvement, I think he will choose to go.
Coming round to my way of thinking Flip. We can't rule out him being fired mid-way through next season either.

I can only see him being fired if we're rooted in the bottom half of the table next season and he starts going off on weird rants like Rafa did when the pressure got to him. I think he'd walk before that.

Could.you imagine what it'll be like hearing him being appointed the next manager of a different club.

Nooo...

Unimaginable if it was in the PL. Can't see that though, ever. No doubt he'll want to go back to Germany at some point though.

Didn’t get to watch the game as I was fly out for a week in the sun. Was it really as bad as it was reported?

Regarding Klopp leaving, I posted around the start of the season I think that he’d be gone in a year. If he doesn’t get the support from the club in giving him the players he needs, he’ll be off, no question. That will be a very bad day

He needs 11 players though based on skill / ability / mindset - actually make that 10 as Beckers ok.

First half was "ok". City stepped up a gear when the 2nd half kicked off and by 60 minutes we looked like we'd rather be at home than playing for the shirt.

Don't know whether you saw the PC a day or 2 before the game but he was asked about spending and he was most emphatic that they would be buying players but obviously he wasn't saying who and how many. Tells me FSG are on the same page as him at the moment. But I guess we'll see.

We'll see in the summer if Klopp has the stomach to rebuild. He's going to have to drop some loyalties. SAF did it time and again, still remember when Stam went when he was definitely top 5 in the world.

I suspect if we didn't have these transfer windows, many of these discussions wouldn't be happening. As it is, we have to wait. I don't doubt for a second he will rebuild - he talked about it only the other day.

Not gonna be a small rebuild though is it ? Jeez right now how many could be kept ?
I don’t think the issue is with Klopp having the stomach, it’s more about FSG having the stomach.

Great news.

Time you sacked Kloop, he’s terrible.

and now Brendan Rodgers is available for you. It’s time to welcome him back.
