No chance. Klopp just isn't leaving any time soon. He won't get fired because he's LITERALLY won the club every trophy going. He's already said multiple times he isn't going to walk. He's here to the end of his contract.
Speaking of though, I've just read that De Zerbi is now the 11th longest serving manager in the Premier League. He was appointed in September!!

Isn’t that the club making the same mistake as Klopp has done? Being overly loyal to those who have performed well in the past rather than looking to the future.
There are no signs Klopp can turn this around and criticising the players in public is unlikely to help.
Surely a defeat to managerless Chelsea thereby extinguishing any hope of a top four finish would give FSG a decision to make.

a) the players deserved itSurely a defeat to managerless Chelsea thereby extinguishing any hope of a top four finish would give FSG a decision to make.
b) he has enough credit in the bank to be given the chance for a rebuild. FSG need to give him the finances to do it first

Klopp said only today that he knows he's in his job this season based on what he's done previously. He has a whole ton of credit in the bank this season.

Look at Spurs, they have changed their manager 36 times to not win the league.

It’s madness. Klopp was a few games away from winning a quadruple last season. That kind of short term thinking is idiocy. I’d give him another season to see what he can do, then say he’s struggling to turn it around. Fergie had I think a 3 year period rebuilding for example even after a lot of success and that was in a much easier league. There are no signs Klopp can turn this around and criticising the players in public is unlikely to help.

I’ve said it lots of times before. You can either have one group of stable players and try and get them to peak at the same time - that gives the best chance to win stuff when they all peak then. Or you can replace some players continuously - that avoids a big drop in performance but may mean you don’t hit the same highs as you’ll always have someone making a few more mistakes through inexperience of the system or being young.
We clearly did the first, probably as it was our only chance to match a clearly amazing City team. It will take a few seasons at the very earliest to get back to competing for the league. If we’re not willing to do that then boot Klopp now, but in reality still take several years to rebuild under an almost certainly worse manager.
If in a season or two with new purchases there is no signs of improvement then think about a change, for now it would be madness IMO.

FSG can’t pony up for a midfielder… they are hardly going to sack Klopp and pay off his £15M/yr contract.
They’d also lose what last remaining support they have amongst the fans if they did it.
The problem isn’t Klopp, it’s the midfield.
It's way more than the midfield. They’d also lose what last remaining support they have amongst the fans if they did it.

VVD isn’t quite the player he was pre Pickford, but the rest of defence isn’t any different, and the front line has the potential to be stronger than it was. A team works as a whole, and the middle of our team isn’t working… it’s neither protecting the back line or supporting the forwards…. Witness Jota and Gakpo having to spend most of Sundays game having to help the midfield… allowing City to push us deeper than we would have been in our prime.
Sort the midfield and the defence will get proper protection, and the forwards can play as forwards.

This is it. Bit of steel and bit of guile required in the midfield.A team works as a whole, and the middle of our team isn’t working… it’s neither protecting the back line or supporting the forwards…. Allison remains magnificent.

I was going to give the games a miss from here on in. But given Chelsea just sacked their manager, that gives me a smidgen of hope that that might give our players some confidence and push them to go for it. Probably misplaced.
This has middle of the bill boxing match between two big hitters with vulnerable chins and poor stamina written all over it. Now, That's Entertainment.....Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
