He was being fouled, so it's a 100% penalty.
But it was a dive.
Salah is a strong lad, he could've stayed in his feet if he wanted to, but didn't.
Had he stayed on his feet the ball would've gone out of play and he wouldn't have got anything.
So he had to go down to get a pen.
He did stay on his feet in the first grapple - he went down after the 2nd, and frankly until Refs start penalising grappling in the box again, he needed to go down to get it.But it was a dive.

Loved Millie's celebration too.

Gary Neville is just checking the replay.
He can't cope.

Watched a MNF segment the other week where he and Carra went through their predictions until the end of the season. He'd much rather Man City win the league and is no doubt relieved they now can't do the quadruple. His suffering is different to ours, but at least he's suffering.
The truth is UTD fans would rather Citeh won an unprecedented domestic treble than for us to win the league.desolate said:

They have Martial, Pogba and Bailey.
A Martial who has never really been consistent, an injury prone Bailly and a wanna be superstar who made it in a farmers league and has seemed to have caused disruption since.
Obviously we are blessed with Edwards and Klopp but Man Utd are in the top 3 of football franchises with Real and Barca, you think by now they would have developed a structure to succeed after Ferguson.
Then again, Real and Barca have been propped up by La Liga, the Spanish government, Ronaldo and Messi in recent years.

His players owe him and the fans a performance. Hopefully this defeat works in our favour and we see them fighting for the badge they supposedly represent on Wednesday night.
Great result yesterday, quite a bit of footy on this week to keep us going till Friday too.
Huddersfield are awful, but I don't suspect that Klopp will take them lightly, even with Barca round the corner. And neither should we.
Judging by other threads and social media this debate is gonna rumble on forever
At the end of the day, if you are brought down by the defender then it's not a dive, if you go down, when you don't need to, (a commentator might describe it as going down easily) then in my book it's a dive.
Salah arguably could've stayed on his feet yesterday, but why should he? He was being fouled.
Refs will usually only book a player for "diving" if there is no contact, which is why Salah never gets booked, because there's always contact when he goes down.
It's still diving imo, but I've not got a problem with it. Especially when it goes our way.
Did you see Martial's dive yesterday? Hilarious

So we're all happy that it's a dive then?
If going down while being manhandled by a defender bigger than you is a dive, yes. I equate diving with "no-one touched me but I'll pretend he did".At the end of the day, if you are brought down by the defender then it's not a dive, if you go down, when you don't need to, (a commentator might describe it as going down easily) then in my book it's a dive.
