Short answer no, not really.

BBC going in for a bit of a hatchet job on Mane.

BBC News - Sadio Mane: What's happened to Senegal star at Bayern Munich?
https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65279208

Another to add to the list of LFC players that have flopped after leaving. How long was his 300k+ per week contract again?.

Sounds from that article that Sane is an ego driven PITA. Can't imagine Tuchel putting up with fisticuffs though.

Interesting. And then Klopp sits there in a PC and openly says "we don't talk about transfers" and even how when he answered the question he said he wasn't referring to Bellingham. Peculiar. And why would the club bother telling anyone "we're not after that player we never said we were after" anyway? Unless they really are.

God knows. I'm just going to wait and see who turns up in the window I think...laugh
Precisely - the briefing issued to journos for a player we're supposedly NOT signing - I'm surprised why more people aren't questioning why the club would ever do this instead of taking what was said as verbatim.

There HAS to be more to this than meets the eye, as all it does is raise the anti-FSG sentiment further.

Saturday the 15th of April. I always think that I’ll be ok today and that it won’t affect me, but it does. Thirty four years ago 97 people went to a game of football and they never came home. #JFT97

Always glad when we're not playing on the anniversary. Klopp and Hendo are paying their respects at Anfield today.

I know we're having a st season, but with Everton currently 1-3 down to Fulham, I would not want to guess who is going to get relegated this season given the teams at the bottom end....

Spurs giving us every chance to catch them but who’d have thought Villa would be in the UEFA places

Villa have come out of nowhere. Unai doing a great job with them!

Spurs doing what they do best. Fantastic game to watch too as a neutral!

In answer to who we should go after in the summer.

Eze would be my answer, admired him for the last 18 months or so and he seems to be getting better and better.

Assume he's a £60-70m player.

Good player but not the type of player we need IMO.

Compare this with what he did at Arsenal. Sometimes whether a manager is successful or not depends on the perfect fit between the 2 parties, I guess, not just whether the manager is any good.

Totally. I thought that he was garbage at Arsenal to be fair, so it has been a bit of an eye opener with what he is achieving now as you say.

I haven't seen a peep from major journos about him or Olise which is surprising. They've both been standout players this season at Palace.

Too much scrutiny at Arsenal, following Arsene, mocked for his appearance and mannerisms which then led to him losing respect in the boot room.

Does show up Stevie a bit though.

Quite. Stevie perhaps needs to start again with a lower team, or go abroad for a bit and manage there (can't really see the latter happening though). The idea people had that he would be a natural successor to Klopp when the time comes is looking quite ludicrous since his time at Villa.

I think he needs to be understudy to one of the great managers. He'd do well under someone like Ancelotti I think.

Good shout. He's got to persuade someone he can be worth paying in that role.

Or at the very least he needs to do one of those tours managers do and go around different clubs studying what each manager does (maybe he has)

Didn't you see what he did with Villarreal and Sevilla? He was bloody decent with Valencia and PSG too.

I hadn't heard of him before he went to Arsenal, so I'm only judging him on that in fairness. I've got him wrong though, because he is working wonders at Villa for sure.

He's arguably too big for Villa. You could say he flopped in Europe with PSG but so has every other manager they've had. His Arsenal stint was a blip and he was a bit unlucky.
