Dumb question here. With substitutes if you have an onfield player ,say defender, who doesn't play, is it the sub in position 1 who's point get added regardless of his position (eg if he's a forward) or is it the first substitute defender points?

depends Cheers.
you have to have minimum of 3 defenders
so if you have LESS than 3 defenders, the game will sub in a defender first, even if they are third on bench
no such priority order exists for mids and forwards, you can have 1-3 forwards and 2-5 mids, but no more than 7 (10 minus the 3 defenders)

Even if Iheanacho (who is my only player left) has an amazing week, I'll be lucky to scrape 40.
Fernandes is heading towards the exit door for me, he might get a push through it this week dependent on budget.

This could actually end up being my worst overall season ever since I started playing. GW4 I had 22 points on the bench despite getting 60 points, GW6 14 on the bench, GW15 14 OTB and only got 48 points GW22 25 OTB and 62 points. GW31 I had 29 OTB and got 56 points. Oh how things could have been!

I'm using my Limitless chip because I only have seven players left out of fifteen so I presently have a world class team. However, next round it returns to normal and if Belgium beat Italy, I may have as few as three players left. Five free transfers before the semi finals will help but I'll still have to take a hit, I think.
