It is all a bit silly

I think Evra is very childish looking at his history.

Yep, should get a ban for commenting on a thread saying how much you hate the subject. (Kind of like they do in the Liverpool thread!)

The Top Gear thread would go very quiet.

I don't watch and have no strong feelings either way about football, is every premiership player an utter bell end?

Now I don't see this here already and the threads in the football forum are, as expected, very biased.

I don't care for ever player or either team.

Luis Suarez though is a moron, he had a chance to draw a line under the incident yet chose to ignite it again. OK he says he is not guilty, fair enough, yet he has been punished with no appeal. If the club decided not to appeal simply to draw a line under the incident why wasn't Suarez told to tow the club line? Why didn't Kenny Dalgliesh man up and say Suarez was wrong?
nobody is allowed to criticise the FA, if you offer your opinion of their actions then you are "bringing the game into disrepute" as if the FA don't do this enough through their own actions.

I have said this many time before on PH, but a strong organisation welcomes criticism and acts on it to its benefit, if it's valid. If it is not valid then its not worth responding to. Only a weak organisation will try to ban people from criticising it.

Yes they must be because out of 600 odd players a few appearing on the news must mean they are.

yes

Just from my own team... Ones they will not have heard of being 'bell-ends'

Leon Osman
Donovan
Leighton Baines
Tim Howard
Phil Neville
Jagielka
Sylvan Distin
Etc...

Just because you hear of a few knobs, doesn't mean they all are. Are all F1 drivers violent idiots just because Sutil bottled someone?

Do you speak like this in real life or just use that sort of language online? Either way, you have let yourself and your parents down.

The Evra-Suarez matter was between two not very bright but nonetheless highly skilled and highly paid men.
At issue, is that racism is unacceptable in any form, and Suarez's defence "We do this at home" only served to condemn him.

Disgusting comments like yours serve merely to perpetuate the hostility by spraying abuse in all directions.

Some calm and reflection is called for.

My blood boils at the attitude of these players, there is no need for calm reflection here and I will speak as freely as I like. As for my comments being disgusting, I think you need to get out a bit.

Please do not jump on my comments regarding the racism, Saurez has no excuse for the comments he made. His ban reflects the seriousness of those comments. Liverpool have handled the entire scenario terribly, I hope lessons will be learned from this.

I will not take back my insults, these two players are both as bad as one another racism or not.

Fair enough if this was in the footballist thread but it's in NP&E and some of us struggle to care about a bunch of overpaid prima donnas who are having a tiff wink

Don't think either of them wanted it tbh, but Evra's hand is down by his side, albeit open. Whereas for the other players it is up out front.

Not at all. I condemned him at the time, I have no qualms about condemning anyone if they've done wrong. Looks to me as if Evra has done his best to make it as awkward as possible for Suarez to go for the shake. His definitely drops his hand. When you see all 11 players go past, he drops his hand for Suarez.

The guy in the red shirt [don't 'do' football] is being very crafty, you appear to go for a shake then drop your hand and in a line that is moving the clasp is missed.

Guy in the red shirt wins, black jacket chap loses.
