Standing by for a flaming here but think you'd have genuinely been better getting Jamie Vardy. Same age, knows the Premier League, knows where the goal is, no settling in period needed. He's playing as well as he ever has, you'd look bloody good going forward, a lot more energy and pzazz than at present and he's also got that little edge you need to succeed.
Oh, and I'd bin Pogba and pay Villa whatever they wanted for Jack Grealish.
You assume Vardy and Grealish would want to come. If VdB doesn’t get game time then they probably wouldn’tStanding by for a flaming here but think you'd have genuinely been better getting Jamie Vardy. Hasn't Grealish just signed a five year extension? Plus United tax, that'll be £130m please. Standing by for a flaming here but think you'd have genuinely been better getting Jamie Vardy. Also within that first 100 days as Liverpool fans we could see what Klopp was doing and it takes time. The culture, the right players etc.
Yes the stats look similar but would you say after 100 games you know where you are going whether you are on the right path.
To a degree, yes.Yes the stats look similar but would you say after 100 games you know where you are going whether you are on the right path.
Ole's bringing in lots of young talent and building for a strong future, just as Fergy did.
Us old farts can remember the early 90's when SAF was struggling with results.
My M City and Liverpool fan colleagues were taking the p1ss and sayin, "please don't sack Fergy".
In the background, he was rebuilding from the ground up with the Academy a high priority.
It took several years and there were some good and bad signings during that time but he eventually got there.
I just hope Ole is given a similar amount of time.

Figures like that rarely tell the full story. Ole started with a long run of wins and is currently in a run of poor form. Take out the first 20 games and compare it, or show it as a graph to show progression over time.
I agree. Take out all of the games that Ole has won and then see what it looks like. Shocking stuff.ORD said:
That’s not entirely fair. It is not strange or unfair to say “Now let’s look at the last 20 games” or 30 games or whatever.
You're right, I was being slightly facetious. However I don't necessarily agree with the "trend" argument; it so difficult to come to any conclusions at the moment based on the covid situation, the usual shambles of a summer window, lack of pre-season, Pogba being Pogba etc.

Also a fair point. However I don't necessarily agree with the "trend" argument; it so difficult to come to any conclusions at the moment based on the covid situation, the usual shambles of a summer window, lack of pre-season, Pogba being Pogba etc.
My view at the moment is that (1) our form is truly horrendous but (2) that may not provide much of an insight into an underlying trend. The way I test this is to ask how confident I am in predicting the next game. Usually I have a fairly strong feeling one way or the other. At the moment, nothing at all would surprise me. We could blow away pretty much any side or lose to pretty much any side, with about equal probability. That is simply weird.

Covid - everyone is affected the same it isn’t exclusive to UnitedHowever I don't necessarily agree with the "trend" argument; it so difficult to come to any conclusions at the moment based on the covid situation, the usual shambles of a summer window, lack of pre-season, Pogba being Pogba etc.
Summer window - club’s fault. Chairman or manager or both?
Lack of preseason - manager’s fault
Pogba- manager’s fault.
Ole can influence at least two of those above, arguably three and the Covid piece is just a red herring.
