Great win against Stoke who may have been over-tired from euro games but that still does not excuse their route one tactics.
Must admit, I have a huge soft spot for your side.Was anyone else surprised at how fiesty your game against Stoke was though? Looked like a local derby they way the game panned out.

MOTD2 didn't show a shocking tackle by Crouch, which could easily have been a . DG's goal was much needed. No goals conceded at home and all losses expected, not a bad start Was anyone else surprised at how fiesty your game against Stoke was though? Looked like a local derby they way the game panned out.
Yeah a good start for the Swans really. Must admit I was worried after the first few games and no goals but the net is now being found so its all good. Also sticking to the silky style which is great and I think a few people will be won over on the strength and quality of the performances this season.
I worry about Brendan getting poached at some point though.

Canary here in peace
Just looking for your thoughts on this weekends game...
Personally, i think we're playing you at the wrong time. You seem to have found your feet now after a difficult start. It should be quite an open game, and i can see a few goals, but i cant call which way this one will go. Before the season started, i had this down as a must win, now i'd take a point.

Game is too close to call, personally I'd like to see all 3 promoted clubs survive in the Prem this year. We've not changed our game, same consistent footballing style as last 3 years so previous results will be good guide save that you've invested more in your squad.
If you want a good set of tips (not a personal recommendation of course! ) try goal adviser.net.

How was Adam's work rate?
He hustled. Seemed to be getting fitter and didn't fade as much in the second half. Stood off a bit too much at times and a better team would have punished us. took his penalty well too, especially with the time it took to take it. Serious question how good a tackler is he, anyone know?
Charlie Adam is the sort of squad option we've missed in the past as he's capable of playing that ball that would break down stubborn defences. He's a luxury, one we can afford I suppose, against teams that won't attack as much and be happy with a point. Still wouldn't play him in a 2 man midfield against any of the better teams, even when we have someone as good as Lucas next to him. It leaves us too exposed.
Apparently he ran over 7 miles, more than anyone. I don't know what his tackling is like. His positioning is decent though I feel, which to me is more important than outright tackling. That's why I liked Meireles so much.
Swansea have their tails up at the moment and are defensively sound so it'll be tough on Saturday.
Correct tails up but not ahead of ourselves. Should have beaten Wolves, taken a point at Emirates and beaten either Wigan or Sunderland at home. BUT I've been to Anfield before with Swans, deep respect for your hallowed turf and the sometimes little recalled player links between the two clubs: I'll start but I think with a collective effort we'll get to 10 on this thread;
Jan Molby, Ray Kennedy, Emlyn Hughes, Colin Irwin, Max Thomson, Ian Callaghan, John Toshack, Tommy Smith...............
Go on, name some more?
I've put this on the Liverpool FC thread also - c'mon let's get it done here first !
