Did anyone else watch Costa the other night and wonder why he was sold?
He was sold simply because he wanted to leave. I would have loved him to stay for a couple more seasons. Great player.

Hearing Zola is coming in to assist Sari. Announcement soon.

He fell out with Conte and wanted to go. But there was apparently a small window of opportunity when he reached out to the club with a view to staying, but Conte was having none of it....apparently.

I think it's a weakness of Conte, if he has a dispute with a player, there's no coming back from it, even if the player wants to back down. Cross him and you're out.

Heaven and Earth should have been moved to work things out with Costa.

Thanks for a Premier League title and FA Cup Antonio.

Pochettino and Klopp still win nothing and keeps their jobs. Standards.

I was excited when Conte came in, but he maybe thought he was getting more a project than a coaches role, unfortunately.

Jorghino could be interesting. We could do with some industry in front of N'golo.

Well it's now official. Thank you to Conte for everything, the first season was incredible playing good football and the fans took to him instantly. The enthusiasm and passion was brilliant to see after the departure of Jose,

It's a shame we didn't then back him in the transfer market which started the breakdown in his relationship with the board. He should have just got on with the job rather than moaning and sniping last season which ultimately led to our poor placing in the league table. Matt Law's article in the telegraph is particularly interesting, highlighting the issues. JT & Chalobah have left nice messages on social media which demonstrates how rosy things obviously were in his first year! The board have handled this in an appalling manner and should have cut ties a few days after the cup final rather than drag it out.

Wish him all the best for the future despite how it ended.

The official statement on the club site was curt and to the point.

Anyhow time to move on to another trophy under new management.

Yes, the touchline passion and fan interaction was gone completely after last summer, something clearly happened during that summer after winning the PL that changed him and changed his attitude.

Such a shame.

You can still win things without much money. Just ask Wigan or Swansea. Both have won major trophies since Liverpool or Spurs won their last one. LOL.

Apparently since Abramovich took over you have paid £89 million, in sacking/compensation

Must admit I expected there to be a lot of anti-Chelsea comments in here today.

England doing so well has made this section of PH a much nicer place to be!

I don't know that it's anti Chelsea sentiment, anti Ambramovich maybe

Surely you must be fed up of the merry go round at your club?
