and what about Ben Foster?

I'd rather keep Camp than have 3m for him. No deals will be done without a manager in place.
Especially not on key players who are under contract.
It happens though! Cardiff just sold Chopra to Ipswich with no manager in place and he was under contract for at least another year. Clearly someone is making key decisions at these clubs!

Makes me wonder if Dave Jones will feature in this merry go round.......

We offered £4m for him last summer, too! Slightly different for Cardiff, though - they still owe Sunderland £1.5m for his transfer to Cardiff in 2009...

Oh dear god no.

I had always thought that Billy was a decent guy, in the first year we weren't ready for promotion, we would have been destroyed in the EPL, this last season, we started really poorly, but a decent run saw us in contention when the Jan transfer window opened, total lack of ambition at that time, I knew we wouldn't have enough gas at the end of the season.

But all along I consoled myself that the team was developing, and we really only needed two or three more players and we'd be ready. Now it looks as thought the three year plean, was in fact a two year plan and another short term move by the club, either we put the money into the squad and really go for it or we are destined to rip up the team every couple of years as the best players get sold again and again.

I am very disappointed, I don't particularly rate McClaren, but will reserve judgement as he still has a massive point to prove in English Football and I like that motivation.

I genuinely fear for us next season. Lots of players out of contract & will probably leave & our acquisition panel making all the decisions. Why would this be any different now that Billy has gone? Mclaren will end up being a "yes" man & I genuinely fear for us.

Now I've got over the shock, I don't think it's too bad. As long as we keep most of the team. Mclaren is proven at Club level. He has something to prove in the English game after the "wally with a brolly" Episode. I really don't think he would come to be another Yes Man.

Time will tell I suppose...

Billy had had enough, That was plain for all to see. Now we just wait for all the Derby fans to come out with "I told you so", Which they did.

Thing is, he won't bring in any new players because he will want to get to know his current squad & no disrespect to any of them but they are not good enough for a challenge next season in my opinion.

Hmmm....not sure I'm that keen on this move, feels like we're just somewhere for McClaren to try and get a monkey off his back.

Does anybody know the availability of Victor Chandler brollies?

as a leicester fan alot of similer stuff was said about us when we appointed sven, just here for the money etc, but have to say I wish we had had him from the start and we might well be in the prem this upcoming season!

hopefully he will attract those one or 2 players you need to really move on next season! look forward to another couple of derbys next season! always a cracker!

400k was spent in 2 years on new signings. The rest were on loan.
The training facility was reportedly 1 million & the clubshop was 500k.

my first thoughts with mclaren where oh god no not that tosser and i liked billy. Having had time to think though his club record is excellent and he could be good. Depends if we can keep the squad. cant have helped things billy's fights with the board. will certainly add some interest to next season.

My thoughts exactly.
There is also noise on twitter that some players refused to sign new contracts with Billy at the healm. God knows. Probably rubbish.

Also how stupid does Tys look in a Derby top? hehe

Saw an interview with Tyson on SSN. He reckons that he wouldn't have signed a new contract even if Mclaren was incharge a while ago & also wouldn't have signed even if we had gained promotion! Yeah righ, we believe you Tyson! hehe
