Anyone would think with his record (despite his goal against Charlton) that Noel Hunt wouldn't be the first pick, but there's no way I'm going to be questioning MM's picks! Got my ticket for the Amex and looking forward to watching the cup game on the telly.
Having been at the Crawley game, I'm not overly disappointed that Frank Nouble has left - one of the worst performances I've seen in a very long time. Yes, anyone can have an off day and Mick's never been interested in the LC, but aside from Teddy smacking the bar and Nouble fluffing the rebound, the only thing Frank did that game was miss a sitter. I remember thinking his feet must have the same charge as the ball, so repellent was his control...

Oh well, that was a damp squib. We seemed to be quite positive and on top until their goal then they killed the game. After that we didn't really have any chances. Pity.
Mind you, what do expect of a team that rocks up at old Trafford and does the same thing! They are potential champions league after all.
Back to the league! Hope the confidence hasn't taken too much of a knock.

I don't like criticising our players but Hyam was dreadful last night.
Overall though, a team that are well organised much like ourselves and play in not too dissimilar ways, albeit they have some very tidy players.
Kevin Bru was superb last night best player on the pitch in my opinion, would love to see him alongside Bishop, the range of passing is brilliant and he's got a bit of bite too.
Murphy had another off game, but can't complain.

Agree, Hyam was not at the races and I didn't feel confident with the keeper. Mings looked good when he came on.Overall though, a team that are well organised much like ourselves and play in not too dissimilar ways, albeit they have some very tidy players.

Agree with above. Hyam was awful. I remember after half an hour saying I hadn't heard his name mentioned and was he actually on the pitch? Mcgoldrick was simply dire. Hunt ran his socks off as usual, as did Bru.
Murphy didn't really get any service and I think the knock to the head he took put him off somewhat.
The back 4 didn't look comfortable in possession at all. I think the Derby loss has affected confidence.
Hopefully a reaction in the next game will happen.

I'm pleased to see you boys got to the game on time and weren't too delayed by all those lost 'first-timers' asking for directions to the ground
Anyways, if the confidence is a bit iffy, you can't ask for anything better than Millwall up next. Judging by their recent visit to our place, they are bad, -ingly bad. If you fail to get a win there I'd then start to really worry about the wheels coming off.

Yep, couldn't ask for a more favourable fixture after the last two results. Shouldn't get too down though, only two goals conceded in 180 mins, one against a very good premiership side. Yeah. Hopefully Millwall will be just the tonic we need after the last week.
And to be fair last night we should have gone ahead. All the pundits agreed that Huntys goal was onside. But hey ho.
We've a run of favourable games after playing many of the tiop sides over Xmas and new year, so if we can consolidate our position with a hatful of points and the 2 with us wobble a bit, we are in a good position.

Now is actually a good time for Millwall to play us, we've had a few injuries and illnesses and things have been a bit disjointed.
It's the Championship and there's now a st load of pressure on the ITFC boys to beat Millwall, that makes it a difficult game IMO.
Still, if we're having a wobble, so be it, I'm loving this season so far.
