Rotherham sack Taylor
Exeter sack Caldwell.
Taylor comes back to St James's where he belongs.
Remember where you heard it first.
Genuinely hope that third one doesn’t happen.

As I'm an exile fan you probably have slightly better insight on this, are fans at the ground getting restless?
Has a relegation to his name last season for us but to be honest, with the utter wker of a chairman/owner we had last season, Pep wouldn't have kept us up. This year, started off by shoring things up & making us hard to beat then tweaked it so we are more attacking. Result? 13 straight wins now in all competitions... funny how things change in six months.
(That said, this is really only a tongue in cheek post. Doing well in National League South when you're one of the biggest teams in that League with a budget to match is one thing, quite another jumping to League One. Happily remember the days of 89-90 when his old man was manager at City (Shauuuuuuuuuuuuuuun Tay-laaaaaaaaaaaaa), what a team that was by the way!!).
Charlton, our bogey team, strike again with an equaliser 3 mins into injury time.
2 soft goals given away when the goalie needs to be doing better and us missing some easy chances meant we had to settle for a point, on another day we could have won that 4-0.
Good to see the ground bulging and the away team filling the away end for a change, good atmosphere and a decent game.
Portsmouth remain top of the league and unbeaten.

All I can say on that is thank goodness we’ve got next weekend off. But yes, sadly, I think he does have to go.
Couldn't be a better time to get rid to be honest. New guy comes in and has an extra week to see who's who and get his set up in place. I would have thought you'll see a few managers get the heave-ho over the next 14 days.

..... Wimbledon ..... penalty shootout .....
On current form that would have ended 0 out of 5. We even had a practice go during the actual game. The fact the end score was 0 for us tells you all you need to know.I'd not be surprised if we were bottom on the penalty conversion table across all the leagues
Sorry you had to endure that. I could have warned you if I'd seen your FB post in advance.

I did get to meet my YTFC hero though which just about made up for the 90 minutes that followed.

So the board spend all week answering the question everyone is asking by saying "Exeter are proud we don't make snap decisions. We believe that Caldwell should be given time to stage a recovery & this is just a temporary dip in form,"

We are top of the league !
Next up ? Oxford then Pompey........
Well, I'm totally flabbergasted .....
At home, against one of the league top team (Notts County), I had no expectations about the game; so much so that I'd considered not even going as our home league form is the worst in the league; and we never score any penalties.
They had ~75% posession and were camped in our half, but we go 2-0 up in the first half; including SCORING a PENALTY
Then early in the 2nd half they peg us back to 2-2. Seems the norm to be honest.
But we only then get another penalty and SCORE it again
And then we score again in extra time. So glad I went
As I say, totally flabbergasted!

My flabber is quite ghasted as well. 4 nil win away at "unbeaten in 27" Pompey. Two consecutive 4-0's. And to make a great day even better you discover that at the 95th minute mark PNE were winning, but managed to lose the game.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
