We've played 2 L1 teams in cups over the past few weeks (home and away) and have ended up winning both, 5-1 (Cheltenham) and tonight, 5-2 (Pompey).

Gobsmacked would be an understatement.

Next up is Oxford away and Ipswich at home yikes
Well played last night, we (Pompey) can't argue with a scoreline like that! Our defending was absolutely pathetic and I can't recall us making so many stupid mistakes in one game. Especially our reserve 'keeper (Ryan Schofield) who was hopeless - there's a January signing for you Moose, a new back up goalkeeper.

Oh well, we can concentrate on the league now, as the cliche goes. Good luck against Oxford, and hopefully beyond.

Disappointing result for us tonight (Notts) at Stockport. I thought we were the better team but couldn’t get any shots on target. I was expecting Stockport to put loads past us but they didn’t create many chances.

Surprisingly the three Stockport fans I spoke to before the game all expected Notts to win, and that was off the back of a 8-0 win in their previous game! All thought Stockport, at the moment, are st! Top of the league and they still moan, football fans!

Notts were definitely the better team, the best we’ve played this season, although, as you say, we prevented Notts from having many chances despite the superior possession.

Was offered a ticket for Tranmere v Swindle Town (30 plus years ago and I'm still not letting that go) but given I'm on a day shift today and the likelihood of getting a swap with less than 24hrs notice was somewhere between no chance and fk all chance, I'll have to keep an eye on BBC Sport website. To T6 Vanman any score predictions?

Glad to see the fraud’s still with us, and that the spineless are busy rearranging chairs on the Titanic.

I have to be careful what I say, because banter nono

It's horrible isn't it? Watching destruction with no means to stop it. You could be planted in the relegation zone come 1700 today.

Yes, some seem a little too fragile where the bantz are concerned. I don’t mind it at all, we deserve everything that gets slung at us at the moment, and if the tables were turned we’d be having a field day at your expense. That’s how it is, doesn’t mean I want to stab you or bum your dog or anything, it’s just fan rivalry.

There’s no ‘could’ over relegation, we’re heading there at an ever increasing speed with a soft as sh*te board either too stupid or too afraid to do anything about it.

‘No ordinary football club’, as the tag line goes. Well it’ll be no football club at all if it carries on this way.

Are Exeter in financial difficulties then? I thought you were sound, not got loads of money, but ok.

Your board are hoping that 'yeah, I'll turn it around in the new year' is actually going to come true.

Hopefully they don't leave it too long before they take action. So often it's too late.

Nope, financially we’re sound. Apparently if need be we can get rid of the fraud if necessary and he’s been promised a decent war chest for the January window. You’re absolutely right about the board, plus they just don’t have the plums to show him the door - I mean, how bad does it need to get? The only win we’ve had since September was against a Swindon second string in a dead rubber in a cup no-one’s interested in. League wise we’ve picked up three points from the last 39. I mean, FFS!!!

Well, we were away to Crawley last night and came away with 3 points; our first away league win since the start of October. Not helped by the alleged worst refereeing performance ever. And 8 mins of extra time that no-one can figure out!

Had a goal disallowed for an apparent foul that no-one can also figure out, down to 10 men for the last 30 mins and also had the boss sent off!

Still 3 points away and in the playoff zone at the mo, so I'll take that as at least we're safe in the league this season thumbup

There’s some hopeless referees in the lower leagues, the idiot we had last night was so one sided towards the home team I was embarrassed for him.

So things aren’t all bad for Grecians. Jay Stansfield put Birmingham 1-0 up at Plymouth and celebrated in front of the Devonport End by revealing a t-shirt saying ‘once a red always a red’. Legend roflroflrofl

Apparently the greens are somewhat rattled! Ironic that you should say respect for his dad (which I have no doubt whatsoever that you’re being genuine in that), apparently Plymouth fans have more than once sung less than complimentary songs about his dad in the past. I love that fans love to dish it out to opposition players but get all offended when the player gives it back.

I agree Ant.

There are some absolute tools that live in the Devonport. Disgusting knuckle dragging Neanderthals.

Nevertheless, and I'll never understand it, what Jay did is just plain stupid. He's obviously triggered hundreds of mouth breathers. He should be above that. He was only ever on loan at Exeter anyway, he's never been a red. laugh

He was, he was a youth team player before going to Fulham, and he always supported the team because of his dad. He’s as much a red as I am and as much as you’re a green.
