I think the problem is tackling is subjective as to intent/out of control etc ( same debate could be had on the Obiang tackle that put him out), whereas Masuaku spitting was as clear as night and day as to his intent, so there's no grey area?
A fair point, yes

Yes fair point, although for me it was clear that tackle was a deliberate effort to stop play and not reach the ball.

So what about headbutts, raising of hands to shove other players in the face etc. which amount to violent conduct, they are only 3 match bans.

I agree spitting is disgusting and should get bans but 6 is either over the top vs other offences such as violent conduct or that the ban for violent conduct is too lenient and should be 4-6 matches also.

Spitting is so fking dirty, a 6 game ban doesn't really seem long enough to me.

I agree is disgusting, the point being though that ultimately you don't end a players livelihood by doing it. If you think say 10 games is the right amount how you reconcile that against a maximum of 3 matches for violent conduct where players effectively commit common assault on the pitch.

If you walk up to someone in the street and spit at them vs elbowing them in the face its clear the police would see the latter as the more serious offence.

Ayew to Swansea? P/E deal maybe? No doubt we will lose money on it...

And the Schneiderlin reports getting more frequent...

Be pleased to see Ayew off - I didn't rate him before or after we signed him, he's done little of note @ WHU & his pen miss v/ the Toon recently summed him up. Getting back close to what we paid would be decent business. Worry though it's a continual lightening of the squad with little incoming players.

Not interested in Everton's cast-off's.

The next three game define our season. Seven points ( not likely at all with the injures)and we can consider it job done and free of relegation pretty much. Three or less and wee know we're in a dog fight top the death. A point will be a start tonight.

This; those around us also bringing players in (and aren't suffering the WHU injury curse).

I've just been looking at you're injury list yikes

Has Moyes been pushing them too hard ? he said he would.

Maybe, although a number were already long term, a couple are via recent playing injuries & the rest are just soft wkers.

Rice

Team doesn't actually look too bad considering. Hopefully the new guy can create something, nobody else is likely to.

Yep, stronger than i expected. Worry about the creativity though - if there's no service to Chica he'll offer fk all.

LAWRO'S PREDICTION

Palace have had nine days off, while Hammers boss David Moyes is struggling a bit for players because of injuries and suspensions - but I still see this one ending up as a closely fought draw.

Prediction: 1-1

PS I'm a fkwit.

Oh look hit on the break from our own goal kick ... so predictable. Cheik try’s to chest it down like Carroll and we’re left 3 on 3 FFS .
They’re trying but no one to create

Nice to see the new boy involved in the lead up to the pen. Him and Chic starting to link a bit.

That 1-1 is on! Can't imagine either team keeping a clean sheet second half though...

Fair result given we had a team mostly made of defenders; predicatably st goal to conceed - typically a bloke that never scores scored.

Nobes 50th club goal with that pen.

Reckon Arnie would've finished at least one of the chances we made.

Kouyate looked superb - fk knows where that's been hiding.

Decent debut from new signing - he looks good and played some good stuff in attack with chica.

Poor set ball deliveries again.

Need something out of Brighton away.
