I'll be glad when they're down after that performance. TWICE they should have been down to 10 men.

It was the same bloke both times, but we can't make any excuses.

That type of performance was common place not so long ago so the positive is a that it is less and less usual for us to fk it up like that.

Yep.
Disappointing and in the end that's the sort of game why we are still looking over our shoulder for fourth rather than sitting comfortably in 2nd.
Agreed, hopefully it will serve as a reminder for the team, and us fans, that the league season is not over yet.

Klavan & Moreno passing back and forth when it was obvious neither wanted the ball, and Gomez being slack in possession was a disgrace, couple others were guilty too.

Poor game, but hopefully no injuries to worry about.

Extenuating circumstances this time - at 2-0 we were cruising and thinking ahead to Tuesday. Just goes to show you can't do that in the Prem.

No excuse for what Gomez did.

I haven't seen it again but pretty sure Moreno was lazy for the first as well.

Certainly not excusing Gomez or Moreno. Fortunately neither are first choice in their positions these days.

I know Klopp wears his heart on his sleeve, but he really needs to learn to calm down (get it?) before he goes in front of the cameras. There are times when he looks like a broken man and that will give the opposition plenty to play on.

Steve McMahon making a lot of sense with his punditry.

& the fact you are very weak at defending set pieces & Dzeko is a far better player than Rondon.

With a Euro semi coming up & 4th still in the balance it must be great that the season is still alive for a few clubs.

Klopp grumbling about West Brom not watering the pitch so it was more difficult to pass the ball - but clearly they didn't HAVE to water it if they didn't want to.

He was clearly very grumpy though. The decisions not going our way really peed him off.

Steve McMahon reminds me of Hank from Breaking Bad laugh

Klopp clearly not happy. The pitch nonsense is just taking away from his anger at throwing away a 2-0 lead and cruising. I get that. I do however like that Klopp is unhappy. Shows he wants and demands more. A good trait. Wish a few of the players showed that today.

Today was a reminder of the bad old days of giving away goals. It's almost as of VVD has enough calmness to keep the defence under control when he has mainly Lovren to contend with but add Klavan, Moreno and Gomez who seemed to be having a competition to see who won't be picked for Tues and even VVD can't cope!

Got to sell Klavan and Moreno this summer, or give them away

Strangely enough we've generally been a lot better at set pieces recently. Today was like the bad old days regarding them. Just looked like our issues that were much more obvious before Christmas came back. Perhaps less surprising when you see some of the players that were back again.

I did wonder if we'd have set piece issues at the start - when coming out of the tunnel it did seem like they were generally taller than us. But we could have won anyway, as well as losing too.

Yup, exactly this, I think three changes in defence is just too much. Plus I feel like we didn’t really get out of second gear for fear of injuries ahead of Tuesday.

all well and good being competitive and annoyed when you lose - but snide remarks about WBA getting relegated are unnecessary. I hope he stops that

(won't be sad to see them go down mind you, always play in a horrible way typified by Hegazi who should have conceded a penalty and two reds)

I thought his interview today showed a side to him he tends to keep hidden from public view. I saw some interview with 1 of the players recently who was asked what he was like to work for and he said "hard, he's very demanding" or words to that effect. Now that can be a good thing of course but he's shown more this season when we do do badly that he gets in a pretty filthy mood about it. All that whining about WBA not watering the pitch so we couldn't pass the ball on the ground, "which was fine for them because they always play with the ball in the air" (paraphrasing) really wasn't necessary. I guess he's really feeling the stress at the moment.

Agree with both - Klopp saying they can continue not to water it next season when in the Championship - that was not right and very un-Liverpool like and I hope he does apologise. Definitely a different side to Klopp that we haven't seen before. I just wish the players had been that angry and demanding when 2-0 up and perhaps that is what Klopp was trying to convey. Next season, there needs to be 100% focus to convert the majority of those 11 league draws into wins.

The thing is playing Gomez and Moreno is almost a no-win in this type of game; both know they are simply being used as pawns to give their counterparts a rest for Tuesday. Doesn't do much for their motivation (putting aside how much they get paid). I expect TAA and Robertson to be absolutely flying down the wings Tues night as it's pretty clear why Klopp rested both.

You can change three players if the ones you briing in are decent. Moreno is worth a goal a game in the wrong end.

How you treat the pitch is part of the home advantage, obviously worked for them today.
