+1. He should be bloody ashamed of his performance tonight. That was Utd losing belief and showing Robben and co too much respect on the edge of the box, Bayern looked good but nothing special like they are so often made out to be.
That said, the whole point of standing off players is to force them into the areas you want them to run to or keep them on their weaker foot. Problem is, when Bayern just run straight at you it doesn't really work and you end up having to make a very rash last second challenge that they usually nick a penalty off or find it easy to avoid. Can't just let them walk into the box unchallenged for 10-20 yards. If teams find a way to deal with this, they'll take away Bayern's cutting edge.
