I was expecting an easy 3-0 for the dippers tonight. That game was great to watch.
We've won that trophy before and it generally goes under the radar for some reason.

What trophy? Under the radar because it is now ste.
It's always been ste. It's now even more shute because teams drop into the EL so you can have the farcical situation of a team dropping out of the CL, winning the EL and then beating the CL winners.

Still it's even more ste to lose the game at gone 1am, a 4 hour flight away from home.

We won't win the league but we will surprise a few people this season imo. 2nd or 3rd smile
2nd?

Send me some of what you're smoking.

If they got and maintain the form they had the big streak of wins last season it is a possibility. We look like we're at the end of the season already, you lot have potential defensive issues, Chelsea seem to be decent but inexperienced strikers, and Arse will probably do their usual thing. Likely? Not really, when you consider you have to beat 4 other decent teams. Possible - absolutely (sadly).

City are clearly the team to beat. The depth of talent in their squad is outrageous. Neither United or Liverpool have that depth. De Bruyne barely played last year and they still held Liverpool off. He’s looked deadly so far and this Rodri fker is mint.

Not replacing Kompany may hurt them but I doubt it. Liverpool losing VVD to injury would be a blow but he’s not exactly injury prone! United keeping a fit and up for it Pogba for the season and Martial delivering on his promise might see us in the mix but I won’t be putting money on it

Kompany played less than half the games City played these past 4 seasons.

Besides he's an overrated player anyway.

Kompany overrated?

I see you’ve decided to take my advice and started on the recreational drugs. Thanks. Gianluigi.

City won't miss Kompany now they have Rodri pulling attackers to the floor as they try to get past him.

He looks like an excellent addition.

top four should be a bear minimum target and it is achievable.

the sooner we can put last season behind us the better.

4 from 6 with the potential for say everton or wolves to press for a top 6 finish should make for an interesting season.

I'm just glad that at least we look competetive and interested at the start of the season.

Squad depth will be more important than ever

I think his influence in the dressing room will be missed more than his playing now ,but the guy was immense in his prime ,best centre half in the league for a good few years .

Predictions for Wolves away?

0-2 win for me.

We'll have too much pace for them on the break.

Wolves are a good team and will test us like last year. 1-1 or 1-2 to us I think.

A 0-1 win for me. Wolves are going to be tough to beat at their place and will set up to stop our counter attack. We will have to go at them and break them down!

Echo those comments. Kompany was immense as a player, just succumbed to injuries in the last few seasons. He was definitely not overrated.

He was their captain and talisman, and still a very good defender last season although not in his prime

But hey this was a DeltonaS post so to be treated with the customary disdain they merit
