Little old Wrexham

It's great news for Wrexham fans, obviously
It's good news for British lower-league football in the wider sense, as it gains more global awareness
It's not directly good news for their peer clubs and fans. Every step forward Wrexham takes is a step backward for them.
Football being a zero-sum game.
Wrexham getting back to the Football League is great news for Wrexham, but it's not the gigantic hallelujah moment it's being portrayed as. Two small clubs win a place in the Football League every single season. It's usually the clubs with the most money and the most expensive teams. As it is again this year. Normal service is normal service - it's just especially visible this year, because RR is
and we all love him to bits.
(As I say - great news for Wrexham fans, great to watch as an outsider, RR and RMcE are both playing an absolute blinder (and doing what I'd like to do if I could), and it's all good fun)
I agree. The problem is that other teams in the National League have not bothered trying this year due to Wrexham’s budget, look at Solihull Moors, 3rd last year, 12 now and Halifax, 4th last year, 13th this year. It’s backfired for Torquay who were challengers 2 seasons ago and they are now on the verge of relegation. It's good news for British lower-league football in the wider sense, as it gains more global awareness

Really hope Notts C go up, considering how far clear of everyone else they are
Agreed. It's ludicrous there's only 1 automatic place.gt_12345 said:

Trying to tempt Bale out of retirement, that would be quite something
Don’t believe every rumour you hear. IMO he wouldn’t last 2 games and would be a complete waste of money league 2 is completely different to anything he’s experienced in the last 10 years. Of course the social media / YouTube/ Disney would pay for his wages but we don’t need him in the squad. Where would he fit? Who would he replace? Flip Martian said:

For any Wrexham fans who haven't seen it, they've been removing the 60 year old floodlight towers at the ground, ahead of their replacement. Some very decent drone footage here (not mine, just saw it this morning):

That’s a shame they were iconic. Probably cost a small fortune to run and weren’t that bright compared to modern lighting. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvSF_iHFR24

I've watched a fair few Ben Foster videos from his channel and podcast.....he sounds awesome. Massive fan now, what a good lad.
He is.All the talk of Bale, Robson-Kanu etc, no idea what those guys are like in real life but piling in old Welsh journeymen doesn't seem very clever from a football perspective. The team is pretty much high L2 standard as it is. Foster fit perfectly and regardless of his ultimate reasons for doing it, he absolutely seemed to 'get it'.

I know nothing of the ins and outs, those more in the know do you think Foster will play again next year? Sounds like he's absolutely loved it so far, would seem a shame not to?
Yes I recon he will sign. Give him a contract on his terms we don’t need him to play every game once the first choice is fit again. Big difference for a 40 year old keeper than an outfield player. Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
