For me Neymar is one of those players with the talent to be World Class but he'll never achieve that status because he doesn't have the attitude and is too busy play acting to actually achieve anything in the game.
Same with someone like Bale. Has the talent to be World Class, but will never go down in history amongst the greats because he's been injured too much.

Neymar strikes me as a disruptive influence, he's not good enough to warrant the hassle.
As for the Countinho deal, 3 years seems a bit insignificant, 5 years would have been nice. It actually looks like we cashed in on the artificially high prices that were set when Neymar moved.
And if it had been 5 someone would have 10 zzzzzAs for the Countinho deal, 3 years seems a bit insignificant, 5 years would have been nice. It actually looks like we cashed in on the artificially high prices that were set when Neymar moved.
They coulld have quite easily come in for Salah in summer you or I don't know, so something is better than nothing.

Spot on.Peter Moore interview.
One thing I don't understand, if I put my business hat on for a minute, is why Moore hasn't actively pursued a naming rights sponsor for Anfield? As a fan, I admit I like that Anfield is known simply as Anfield and not the Emirates or Etihad or Bet365. However, as Moore's role is to drive up revenue for the football club, surely we are missing out on 'free' money every year we don't have one. Surely selling naming rights is a commercial no-brainer?!

Weren't they looking for a sponsor for the Main Stand instead of stadium naming rights? I imagine they didn't get the interest they wanted.
No big company is going to be interested in that, the camera rarely pans up to the top of the stadium where some branding might exist, and people rarely talk about this or that stand. They want their name in the stadium title so Gary/Jeff have to say "over to the Anfield Wonga stadium" on MOTD / Sky.
On the face of it I'm glad its still Anfield for the sake of say £10M/year - if we are missing out on £50M per year then we should just swallow our pride and take the cash (and invest it in the other 3 stands to up the capacity and make the stadium look less off balance
