That’s a shame they were iconic. Probably cost a small fortune to run and weren’t that bright compared to modern lighting.
According to the video, the new ones will be even taller. And I guess, brighter.

I know nothing of the ins and outs, those more in the know do you think Foster will play again next year? Sounds like he's absolutely loved it so far, would seem a shame not to?
Yes I recon he will sign. Give him a contract on his terms we don’t need him to play every game once the first choice is fit again. Big difference for a 40 year old keeper than an outfield player.
He claimed he hadn't wanted much dosh to sign for this period - it was closer to "as long as my expenses are covered" but I'm sure he'd want a bit more for next season. If he stays on. Sounds like he's tempted. Thing is, he's already a legend there so it would be a good end to his career; 1 more season, maybe help get them up to the top end of L2.

I bet he's regretting the fact he's already 40 - a number of times he's made a point of mentioning how there are no egos there and that's a big reason he loves it at Wrexham. Laindon is a decent keeper from what I've seen but he does seem to get injured a fair bit.

I think Foster will sign and will be fit enough for league 2.
Bale, Robson Kanu et al are just media hype.......if they want to take their badges fair enough, but not playing.
Phil Parkinson wouldn't make this a team of has been's, no matter how good they were.

Robison kanu was a good shout for them as he said he’d play for free / donate whatever they wanted to pay him to charity. That frees up money for another marquee signing.

Bale playing for half a season or whatever would make good tv and attract sponsorship and more cash but it’s pie in the sky.

Would be a good hub for Welsh talent coming up and on the way down though

Lainton is a good keeper and played at L1 level. Christian Dibble was backup previously but wasn't quite good enough. Probably needed a good solid period of being number 1 elsewhere and with Mark Howard coming in, he left to Kidderminster.

I'd like Howard and Foster to stay TBH. Howard is "only" 36 and he may end up being 3rd choice, however I think there are enough games to keep Foster, Howard and Lainton happy.

I think we should sign the ref and the lino from the Boreham Wood game. They both have quite the turn of speed. Did you see them shift at the final whistle? hehe

I’m sorry to see the old floodlights go. I always knew when I’d arrived in town when I saw those, I used to look out for them when I was little.

I know Scott quite well. Thought he handled a pressure game really well and yes, lightning turn of foot at the end there....hehe

It's just so nice to see the positivity around the owners and what they have done for the club/town (city). As a Chelsea fan, it couldn't be further from the hatred our current owners are getting, as well as a fair few of the other premiership club owners. Worlds apart. (Not saying that some of those owners don't deserve it)

The post-season S4C interview on YouTube is fantastic. I think some got carried away with this but it's nice to hear confirmation that playing staff decisions are down to Phil, and the Bale banter was just that...banter. Ryan is an absolute master of marketing/engagement so I'm sure a hint of that too.

You’re on first name terms eh!

I went to Wrexham to see my grandad and we went to see a match. My dad and bro were Man U fans and didn’t want to go but secretly admitted it was a better more family day out than their teams.

Notts County and Chesterfield won their play off games yesterday, they play each other next Saturday for the second promotion place.

Saw the Notts County highlights - that was one hell of a match. County deserved to win, it looked like.

Sounds like Foster should be signing on for another year, is that right?
