The Vorderman effect. They paid way way over the odds for him, so have to use him in everything vaguely footie related.
Even though I don't care for Shearer, not a huge fan of Lineker, the BBC always do it better.

The forces cam was amusing...

... I'll leave now!

England don't actually look like they can be bothered playing football.
I'm afraid for the rest of the campaign, honest, they really would have benefited (ANY TEAM WOULD) from a more demanding opponent in the first match, the team performance doesn't seem well urgent.

What, have we been peppering the goal? Are you sure you are watching the same match? This is the USA for godsake, imagine us against Argentina rather than Nigeria, they would have killed us.

While Green's mistake was an absolute clanger Capello hasn't covered himself in glory playing out this soap opera of who's in and who's out up to the final minute. It was bound to cause nerves and it did.

Anybody concerned we might be talking about an injury crisis in the centre of the defence, never mind in goal, before the end of the group stage!

Carragher is usually pretty solid for Liverpool.

We can all sit here and call him worse than st but it happens. It's what he does next that counts.

We, as many in the Oxford area, have no TV coverage at all at the moment (they burnt to transmitter down whilst upgrading it...).

Sounds like I'm the lucky one wink
