Not looking forward to this one. Maureen will be hellbent on maintaining his 100% record against Wenger.

Not sure which will be more frustrating: JM's tactics, or Giroud upfront.

We were a bit better but thats got to be the worst Man U appearance against us in the league during Wengers entire stay... my guess is we'll end up 5th.

Not only the worse Man Utd performance I've seen in years against us but before the game it was the least excited I've been in years about this fixture although when Wellbeck's goal went in for the second it didn't stop me from shouting "We want 8" at the tele.

Just got myself a ticket for the saints game, was only £20. Should be entertaining if we win, or if we lose and our fans are going mental!

Is this why there's been no announcement about Wenger....??

I wonder what the wording in that 2 year contract extension on offer is.....??

London Evening Standard said:
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has dismissed the possibility of working under a director of football. The Gunners' hierarchy are keen to create the position
AW at press conference today at Southampton said:
"As long as I'm manager of Arsenal Football Club, I will decide what happens on the technical front, that's it.

"I don't know what director of football means. Is it somebody who stands in the road and directs play right and left? I don't understand, and I never did understand, what it means."
and...

Daily Star said:
Wenger is on a collision course with Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis, who wants to make a number of sweeping changes at the club this summer.

Another win but having watched the highlights any half decent team would have handed us our arse on a plate. We (Ramsey) keeps getting caught in possession, or giving the ball away with needlessly slopping passing ( most of the midfield, Monreal and Bellerin), with too many players ahead of the ball, i see it time and time again, yet we still keep doing it. Southampton had three clear cut chance all caused by our mistakes, they just didnt want to score tonight. Alexis, as usual, was the only shining light selling two defenders like a kipper and sitting Forster on his backside for the first. Bad news being looks like Ox has done his hammy which is typical just as he's had a few good games.

It means nothing, same as Man U.

If it is a Hammy - disappointed for Ox. He was turning into a poor mans Moses for a week or two there.

fyi Victor Moses, not 'parting the sea' Moses.

On the Sky highlights last night they showed the stats of the most games he's played consecutively in the last six seasons....I think the highest number of consecutive games he's played is six. That's incredible....in a bad way. As they said "Ability is not the issue it's fitness".

It didn't look too bad as he came off...hopefully he'll be fit for Wembley.

Enjoyed my visit to St Mary's last night, even if the seats are the most cramped I've experienced at a modern stadium!

1st half was awful with everything so slow, no one making runs going forward and loads of space given to the Southampton players! 2nd half was much better and I think we just deserved the 3 points.

Gutted for the Ox, but really not surprised about the stat on how many games he seems to be able to put together.

What is Ramsey meant to bring to the team?

I still think weve blown it, we need Loserfool or Manc to slip up. I found myself yelling at the TV today which is not something ive done to an Arsenal game for some time. Holding flattening Arnautavich and him bleating like a big fanny was a highlight rofl the icing would have been if Ramseys shot went in, he should have done a circuit of the ground in honour of that massive Shawcross hehe big up as usual to our away fans for standing up for Wenger despite the taunting from the Stoke knuckle draggers and singing 1-0 to the football team when we scored laugh

For a day tomorrow I'm a hammers fan.

He got two goals, but how lazy is Giroud? His work rate is so pedestrian; even in the post match interview, he looked like he'd been for a walk on the heath. Not a hair out of place.

Win the cup and finish 4th I wouldn't bet against the arrogant bd signing that contract.

These bottlers only play when the pressure is off.
