Just watched the BT highlights on YT.

Unless it's an extremely biased edit, apart from their goal and a small period early on, we had the run of the play and had we had Kane or Son on the pitch, it have been a good few goals to us.
Was thinking the same - watched the highlights this morning its about a 6 min video their goal comes right at the start and from then on you'd think we'd battered them apart from them hitting the post.
Are you two part of the Medical staff? smile

How was the Ajax goal not offside?
Was onside I'm afraid. When the ball was kicked Trips was keeping him on.

The goalscorer yes, but the attacker in front of Trippier was off and I'd say interfering with play.

I like Moura. He's very direct. He wants to get the ball and run at people and put them under pressure. You feel like good things are about to happen when he does it. Fundamentally he still scored the same number of goals as Llorente last night but at least with Moura you feel like he's busting his chops to make something happen.

He brings a very different approach to the pass it round the penalty area 30 times that the rest of the team often adopts. I wish he'd do it more often tbh as should Son. They are both at their most dangerous when running at players but only seem to do it every so often.

To be fair you can't judge him on his recent form\comments on here as he was probably gone a month or more ago so not really at his best. Previous to this that glimmer of genius would be pretty much apparent in every game. He has the highest assists in the PL this year, that doesn't happen by accident.
Agree I am sure his performance has dropped as his mind is half way to Spain already, for me he is creative but lightweight - great in a side that is playing really well and he has hard-working players around him, a luxury player you can't afford when everyone else is not on top form.

You guys watch him week in week out I know but for me he wasn't a patch in Coutinho (even trying to allow for your and my bias)

He is behind Ryan Fraser and Hazard for assists btw

I'm sure I read somewhere he was the assist King this year, my mistake then. Still don't think there are many finer passers in the current game. You have the opposite problem at LFC, lots of grafters but no natural playmaker in the middle of the park although Kieta might be coming into that role.

I know the modern game, especially the PL seems to demand that everyone runs their little socks off but I think every team also needs a playmaker whose job is to pass the ball intelligently to the forwards. It's about getting the balance right. I'd be happy with two CDM's doing the running and letting Eriksen do his thing, the problem for us at the moment is we only have one person who can do that job properly in Sissoko.

Might all be mute anyway though if rumours are to be believed.

Lads It is a Franco newspaper funded by RM. They will print anything to keep the supporters happy, likewise the president spouts BS as well.

However IF it is true and for me it will only be true when he runs out in an RM shirt. Expect Dan to royally screw them, ans i would put money on it that Bale could be somewhere in the dwal with RM paying the balance of his wages

Until then Carry on and think about Sat and next Wed

Disappointing from Spurs.

A champions league semi final.

At stake, the right to lose to Barca in the final.

I thought they would have seen off Ajax tonight.

Rather strangely, having invaded this thread when Ajax scored last night, the Scousers are strangely absent tonight.
