Yes, quite something that one - despite the best efforts of that prick of a ref. wker.

Cheers Nobes. Saw your first game & now your last. Been fun, sometimes; thanks for the memories. Enjoy whatever's next.

Yep, same here, saw his first and last.

Ref was so st it should be looked in to but we all know that won’t happen.

I actually think right across the board this has been the worst season for refereeing I can ever remember.Today in the Everton game Richarlison had his shirt pulled for a clear pen right in front of Michael Oliver before the ball was cleared that lead to the first sending off.
No one gets booked for diving anymore either.

A good day and send off for Nobes.

Agree about the ref. Also I wonder if Antonio wasn’t such a lump he’d get given more fouls? Not for the first time this season, he was literally being held in a stranglehold and then thrown to the ground, ref waves play on. Grealish has his hair ruffled and it’s a free kick. It’s become the norm now to see guys wrestling with Ant and refs just seem to shrug it off, like, ‘he’s a big lad so can take care of himself’. It’s starting to really frustrate me.

Andy Carroll had the same treatment and got nothing either.

That's not a bad shout actually. Did it for No.6, so see no reason why we couldn't do it again.

Sorry, I really don’t see the point.

Same - we were talking about this yesterday after the game. Needs some shoulders to take it on though, so maybe it'll be un-allocated for a couple of seasons.

The #6 was only retired in 2008 (15 yrs post-Moore) - Matthew Upson being the last player to wear it.

Because its a nice gesture for somebody who has given his all for us?

WHUFC have #6 and #38 retired, unfortunately both posthumous.

MotoGP are retiring #46 soon.

Noble has been immense for our club, there’s no denying that. I just don’t see how retiring another number is in any way relevant. I’d say rest the number for a while then bring it back.

I hope we find a job for Noble at the club going forward.

I hope we do but I think he deserves a couple of years with his feet up first. If I was in his shoes I know I’d want to do that!

Hoping he comes on & converts a pen on Sunday

Doubt he'll be away for too long though.

Cheers, TC. Great atmosphere but a bit of a shame to be on the end of another Frankfurt loss. Hopefully next season we get a West Ham final somewhere!
