Yes good to see & assume he'll go straight into the First XI - looks like he's going to rival Cresswell in the quiff stakes as well.

Not that I'm expecting many more, but at the suggested E35m I wonder if he's also our marquee signing.

Sounds like he's a smart lad, fingers crossed he does the business for us.

Assuming that we finally announce the conversion of Areola from loan to signed early next week, what do we think will happen at the start of the season? Will Fab still start the PL games or will there be a reversal of role from last season?

I can’t see Areola wanting to sign to just play EC and Carabou games? I’m kind of assuming that he has certain ‘guarantees’ in place going forward?

That would be logical... but I'd be surprised if Fab's dropped as PL #1 this season, so perhaps a repeat of last season w/ Areola in line for the very near future.

Any thoughts on Mark Warburton joining Moyes team as 1st team assistant coach? He seems we regarded by friends of mine who support Brentford and QPR.

Good addition IMO - more experience & DM building a strong backroom.

Wow, that’s a great appointment. My BiL is a Brentford season ticket holder and spoke very highly of him.

Great but what else is happening? Lots of rumours but that seems to be about it.

Doesn't appear to be much firm, aside from the ongoing will-he-won't he w/ Lingard, and some Broja related noise (I'd rather not take him -seemingly on the basis of a couple of good performances against WH last season).

Team's back in pre-season training in Scotland at the moment.

If Lingard wanted to join WH he’d have done so by now. We need to forget him and move on with other signings imo.

Agree - I said when he left after the loan season-before-last that I'd never see him play in a WH shirt (live) & I've seen nothing yet to make me change that view.
