As lovely as Bale would be 100m is a lot when we need strengthening in other areas, especially if DDG goes the other way!
The rumour i heard is they will give us 50 million for De Gea so it's De Gea plus 50 million for bale. No way, De gea saves more than bale would score we need them both.
My summer dealings would be
IN:
De phey
Hummells
Kline
Bale

OUT:
Cleverly
Hernandez
Powell
Evans

.. and very static too. There's never anyone running into gaps between the 2 banks of 4. It's what players like Mata and Herrera (and Kagawa) live for - movement.

Exactly, we look devoid of ideas again and it's all very slow and sideways.

Get the plane ready!
Tactically hopeless really. SAF had teams parking the bus for years and still managed to figure out a plan to get through. This fella's not cutting it at the moment.

I came on here to post some puerile, childish comment about United's loss to West Brom. But, at the top of the page I saw the link to sad news about the death of Rio's wife. 34 is no age. No age at all.

Puts things into very sharp perspective.

Utd really do have no answers at all when teams sit back. Really very poor and we barely created a chance.

VP aggravated the lack of shape by wondering around like a drunk.

Yet again absolutely no movement between the lines. And our best striker playing in midfield again.

DM is unlikely to play again. That was unforgiveably bad. Whatever the reasons, he has been worst than crap for months.

The team is somehow so much worse than the sum of its parts when the oppo sits back.
