This ^^^^ Poch is saying all the right things at the moment but loads have been here before. I still can't see him moving tbh but if it happens it happens, the club is bigger than any one player or manager.

Personally if I was in Poch's shoes I wouldn't move for another 2 years, see out the current phase of the Spurs project, then see the lay of the land and possibly look to move somewhere bigger if I still wasn't getting the financial resources that are required to take a club to the next level.

Pochettino: "I'm happy here in Tottenham and I have four-and-a-half years left on my contract. I understand you're interested because there are a lot of rumours but look, I'm happy here, trying to give my best to the club."... "The most important thing is to enjoy the journey. We're so happy here."
Another few quotes from him:

"I am happy here of course"

"We are in the middle of our new project. I am fully committed to the staff, the players, the club and it would make no sense to leave in the middle of our path"

“I have a contract and a responsibility to Tottenham.”

(Apart from those quotes are actually in 2014 and I replaced Southampton with Tottenham.)

It's the same as Phil Countinho and us for example. Phil said similar, and we thought he was decent and wouldn't try and force a move. When it comes to it quotes mean very little, so it's just a case of seeing if United come in for him in summer and he/Levy accepts it. No point in getting worried as not much you can do apart from show your support in games.
Youre being a bit disingenuous again (what's happened to you recently?) The thing that tipped him over the edge was the sacking of his firend Cortez. Thats why he left.

Those are from after Cortez being sacked. My post isn't saying anything more than some nice words don't mean much when it comes down to it. Like basically any professional it's unlikely that someone says they're off for a new job, before it is official. I can only think of Costa and his holiday in recent times for someone who effectively said "screw you" to his current team. Phil said he wouldn't play in private for us, but publicly was saying right stuff as an example.

I personally think Poch is decent, and may well stay. But who knows - the only thing I know is not to believe rumours in the media, and quotes by people saying how nice their current job is/they'll stay etc.

I have also said elsewhere I think we will face the same with Klopp soon, with one of the big teams going after him. Some Liverpool fans on PH will say he won't move for reasons xyz, but reality is he might, we don't know.

I'd be staggered if United have disposed of Jose without already having a replacement lined up. I imagine they were hoping to keep Jose until the end of the season but there hand had been forced, hence Ole as emergency interim. That being the case, they must have made a deal with someone currently out of work; Conte or Zidane for example.

The idea that United are going to stumble about during the summer trying to get a working manager released from their contract and face being rejected and working down a list of candidates seems preposterous.

Surely if it were Zidane or Conte they would just take over now?

United want to employ a director of football and we know Poch won't work in that structure.

How does that actually work? What does a director of football do and what does that leave for the manager to do, I've never fully understood that relationship.

Director of football in the modern world is going to identify which player to target, the first team coach will have some input into the process but doesn't have the final say on recruitment,
