Heckingbottom from Barnsley is 1/4 on Betvictor and 1/7 on sky bet.
Apparently already at ER to sign up TBH I'm not sure. Barnsley 1 point above the drop zone doesn't fill me confidence that the manager is the right person to turn our season around & get us promoted next season (given that this season is a write off).
We'll see.

No offence but that's a loooooong way away and we're talking about LUFC here TBH I'm not sure. Barnsley 1 point above the drop zone doesn't fill me confidence that the manager is the right person to turn our season around & get us promoted next season (given that this season is a write off).

So the soap opera continues. Given recent results I could see why TC was under pressure and was ultimately shown the door but replacing him with a manager of a club that's hovering just above the relegation zone doesn't strike me as a great plan. Hopefully we'll look back in a few months and say it was an inspired choice by the owners but I'll not be holding my breath......
Well, just about calmed down after watching our lamentable display on Friday at Middlesbrough - thank god I viewed it from my armchair on Sky and wasn't one of the poor unfortunates who braved the awful weather to witness it in person at the Riverside!
Beginning to think it's a good job we had a decent start to the season because otherwise we'd be hovering around the relegation zone and on current form we'd quite possibly be in danger of going down. I can just about forgive players not being good enough but I do struggle to accept the sort of lack of fight and commitment shown on Friday; I don't think we were first to any 50:50 ball all night and somehow we contrived to make a fairly average Boro side look like world beaters.
Another performance like that against Wolves on Wednesday and I think the Elland Road faithful will be getting decidedly restless.....

Weird thing said on the Sky commentary on Friday was apparently Heckingbottom has promised his children a family holiday if he gets the sack; that sort of sounds like a man who's surprised to have landed the job in the first place and isn't necessarily expecting to keep it very long! Mind you, many more performances like the once against Boro and he might be heading to Disneyland (or wherever) sooner rather than later....JNW1 said:

I'm surprised that he got it too TBH; hovering around the relegation zone with Barnsley and then lands a job with Leeds! Then again Sheffield Wednesday sacked Carvalhal and he got a PL job FN2TypeR said:

Then again Sheffield Wednesday sacked Carvalhal and he got a PL job Having said that I think we've proved conclusively that chopping and changing managers doesn't work and perhaps if the new owner had shown a bit more commitment to Garry Monk things would be looking a little different now - there's no doubt in my mind we had a better team under him last season and have gone backwards since he left.
Thank god for our decent start to the season because based purely on our form post-Xmas we'd be in a relegation battle and staring a return to League 1 in the face. Was confused why our board thought PH was a suitable candidate to replace TC and after 8 games in charge - which have yielded 6 points - I'm still none the wiser....
I agree, still not convinced by Hecko. The season is over, once again we’ve failed to achieve anything.
This summers transfer window is vital. Pablo needs to be offered a new contract, we need to keep Saiz and Jansson and then look to get rid of the deadwood whilst bringing in some decent signings. Trouble is we have a lot of players on long contracts who will be hard to offload.
Interested to see how Radrizzani’s rather open questions to the EFL about the Wolves ownership model plays out. If he has the contacts that he says he does then we should be able to use the same loopholes to get some decent players in. Knowing our luck they will let Wolves get away with it and then close the loophole or worse still let us try it and then dock us points.
Anyone renewed their season ticket yet? The club had expected us to be higher up the table by the planned point of renewals being offered. Obviously that’s not the case so let’s see what the number of renewals are like compared to the 20k season tickets sold for this season.
Despite the crap on the pitch there have been some improvements off the field. Well, aside from badgegate which was farcical but they seem to be learning from their mistakes.

Seems to have happened the last few seasons starting with playing a league 2 side in the 4th round of the FA Cup, making wholesale changes to the starting line up & losing. We then take that info the league form & drop like a stone. Cannot see PH being at the helm come August.
