Sounds like Carver has accused Williamson face-to-face of committing the foul he got sent off for on purpose so he can miss a couple of games. The wheels have well and truly fallen off.
I almost don't blame him. If I was Carver I'd be considering playing the U21 team. At least they might put a shift in.
Some encouraging sounds coming from Steve McLaren, as much as that he isn't denying any link. He could be the catalyst that gets us through this mess. Carver just isn't fit for purpose.
I'm not too bothered that Williamson is out for the next two games, he hasn't proved his worth in recent time. Janmaat on the other hand I am more worried about. He's been one of our more convincing players, possibly our strongest yesterday.

I'll harp back to my earlier post last month.
"I genuinely can't see where our next point will come from so I'm hoping that the teams below us don't pick up too many. Sad state of affairs."
I really can't see us getting any more points, especially with our defense consisting of a defender, 2 stewarts and the tea lady. I was hoping that our survival would be OK based on other teams doing equally as bad but to be honest, with the Makems winning at the weekend and other teams seeming up for the fight, I fear the worst now.

Yeah we need a 'hail Mary' to survive and it could happen given West Brom are safe so could be thinking about their holidays( and we actually try for a change). I would expect QPR to be relegated by the time we play them so there is another opportunity ( can't believe how optimistic I'm being) On the down side I would imagine Allardyce would love to relegate us!
I know some fans feel relegation might get Ashley to sell up but I can't see him wanting to sell at a loss, plus he might have to invest more money to get us back up which would mean the price to sell would go up.
if he is ever going to sell his best chance is with us in the top flight.

One point from 27, but it could be the most valuable of the season.
You guys need Rangers to roll over for Ashley are you are condemned to aspiring to mediocrity.
We're not aspiring to anything and that is the problem. You guys need Rangers to roll over for Ashley are you are condemned to aspiring to mediocrity.
ETA I've been thinking about things and I'm wondering what exactly is the point of supporting Newcastle next year if we stay up? We won't try and win anything so it isn't really sport. I might as well spend 2 hours on a Saturday down at the local industrial estate supporting a plastics manufacturer.

I'll make a prediction here SAFC to be relegated on goals scored after a NUFC equaliser in stoppage time next Sunday
You might want to check the table again, you'll need SAFC to be beaten by quite a few for that equaliser to work.I'll make a prediction here SAFC to be relegated on goals scored after a NUFC equaliser in stoppage time next Sunday

I've horrid feeling it's us or you, due to the Mancs doing their old boy a favour.
On that basis unless you get truly battered in your extra game, here's hoping!, I reckon it could be us.
Down due to goal difference.

What is the likelihood of Arsenal and Chelsea putting 5+ past you? I think its very possible but not to worry I'm pretty sure West Ham and big Sam will do us, it's karma! We need Man U to win and to be honest if they do I can't say we deserve it.
last time we were relegated it was against Claret and Blue.
