For what it's worth I like Berahino too and if we'd signed him instead I would still have been pleased. Every transfer is always a gamble - let's hope this one is more Torres than Carroll!

I must admit I'm not wholly sold on Benteke as he never seemed constant and it would be nice to have a Striker who can motivate himself the majority of the time.
However, as RT said well, he's here and I absolutely support him being in the team and hope absolutely smashes it.

Poppycock - There was more than one poster that said he didn't suit " our style of play" & therefore he wasn't the player we need.Personally i think he's an excellent centre forward & i'm sure he'll score 20 + goals a season if Mr Rodgers plays a style to suit him.
I'd go as far to say i think this is Mr Rodgers best signing since being in charge at Liverpool.
