On a different thread. Cycle injury, mending

A bit like Saint season. A bit rubbish but signs of life are there and prognosis is good smile

Averaging 1.5 points under Ralph. Dread to think what would have happened without him

Redmond looks like a different player.

How many points dropped from winning positions this season ??

Very disappointing we couldn't hang on for the win - I reckon those extra 2 points would have seen us safe.

Still, another point gained and, with Brighton losing, our superior GD effectively puts us 4 points ahead of them.

A bright point was Shane Long (whod've thunked it) and his fastest ever PL goal, to sit alongside Mane's fastest ever PL hat-trick.

Onwards to a massive game at home to Bournemouth this Saturday.

It is a real shame we let it go right at the end. 2 massive points dropped but, if I hadn't have known when the goals were scored and someone said before the match "would you take a 1-2 draw?" I'd have said yes.....Cardiff basically need to pick up 7 points and us lose all 3 for us to go down....and Brighton must pick up a few too of course.

I'd like to think we're safe, but you never know until it's mathematically impossible to go down!

You and me both.

Hoping for the best, fearing for the worst - it's the Saints fan's mantra !

I end up dreading the last 10 minutes of any Saints game, no matter how many ahead we are and how much we have controlled the game. We must have the worst record for snatching defeat from the jaws of victory among any side.

24 points dropped from winning positions, apparently. There can't be many / any worse than that this season.

High on Hassenhuttl's list of priorities during the summer has to be a re-working of the defence.

When I look at the run in of Brighton, I think it's Newcastle, Arsenal and Man City, I don't see them getting 4 points. I can't recall who Cardiff have in their last 3 but I don't see them getting 9 points so I am feeling ok about it.

We should also beat Huddersfield on the last day but would be nice to be safe at the end of the weekend.

I don;t know if it's fitness or mentality at the end of the game, but we seem to drop back and let the opposition come onto us

Cardiff have Fulham (A), Palace (H) and Man Utd (A).

Fulham enjoying consecutive wins against Everton & Bournemouth.

Palace - who knows what side will turn up.

And Utd are, well, Utd.

Not easy.

Seeing out games - it certainly seemed fitness was the issue when Strachan first came to the club. I think it's mindset / belief with the current crop.

I'd be happy for us to creep over the line this season and hope that Ralph and his team can work their magic on the players over the summer.

We'd be in a CL spot if the game was only 80mins long.

Yet another goal conceded in the final 5 minutes. Looks like we're safe providing Cardiff don't suddenly score a couple.

We really need to either improve fitness or concentration....we are letting in so many goals with just 5-10mins remaining it's absurd.
